Bus Monitor Assaulted in Greece

UPDATE ~~ TEEN CHARGED WITH ASSAULT IN THE THIRD DEGREE. She is living in Greece "temporarily."

Greece Police Investigating

13WHAM news reports: The monitor was taken away in an ambulance and treated at the hospital after the incident Tuesday. Wednesday, she gave a statement to police in Greece, where the incident happened. 13WHAM has learned that there is video of the attack, and that charges could be filed soon in the matter.
Shannon Casey said she was blindsided and beaten by a 15-year-old girl on the bus Tuesday afternoon while others watched and laughed.
Casey said there were five other people on the bus at the time – four students and the bus driver. She said she approached the 15-year-old before leaving school because she was late, something Casey said happened often.
She said, when they finally got to Greece, she heard the girl tell her brother to get the camera ready. That was when she said she was attacked.
Casey met with police Wednesday night. They are investigating the incident.
The Pittsford Central School District confirms it is aware of the incident and the video. The district said it is cooperating with Greece Police.

If this was a Pittsford bus, then the students were from Pittsford but attending Greece schools? The report seems a little sketchy with details. Just hope the monitor is OK. As a former bus driver I know how difficult it can be. Maybe self-defense should be added to driver/monitor training.

To 12:41PM ~~ According to reports, she resides in Greece "temporarily," whatever that means.

A couple of weeks ago, I was stuck at the light when Athena was releasing students in the afternoon. Of the first group of buses (11 of them) that came through the intersection, JUST TWO were from Greece!

Must be LOTS of "homeless students" out there! I wonder where Greece students go to school ...

Google McKinney Vento to see where your tax dollars go so that we dunned Greece taxpayers can provide a GCSD education to every POCCC that wants to come here from "disadvantaged" (read as children from Ahole parents) school districts. The cost to you is astronomical both in dollars and worse, the loss of teachable time that motivated student's lose when a teacher has to contend with these POCCC's. *Piece of CRAP CRAP CRAP! Put an end to Section 8, subsidized housing, and education if you as a District taxpayer want to get back what you are paying for!!!

To 5:52PM ~~ While I see your point, I think true change will only come when control of school districts is taken away from UNIONS. THEY ARE RUNNING THINGS ... and you aren't hearing them complain for the most part.

Ain't ya glad her "family" relocated to Greece due to a housing problem in upscale Pittsford?
