DMV To Take Appointments

Online appointments can be booked starting Sept. 15th to avoid the dreaded wait in line.

"It works very similar to the fast pass at Disney world, if you're familiar with Disney World, so you go online and you get your time. When you come in, you essentially go right to the front of the line and you'll be seen right away at the info, what we call the info-counter." ~~ Monroe County Clerk Adam Bello.

DMV customers can visit to make an appointment for any one of the DMV offices located in Greece, Irondequoit and Henrietta.

There They Go Again!

Greece Police Chief Apologizes
For GPD Vehicle
Parked In Handicapped Space

TWC News

Recently a photo was published on facebook depicting a Greece Police car parked in a handicapped spot. This is obviously unacceptable. I can assure you that our officers are repeatedly reminded that Integrity, Professionalism and Service are of the utmost importance. This action is not in line with those values. While I understand that posting things on facebook and blogs are what people consider to be taking action in this day and age, it would be far more effective to contact my office, our Internal Affairs office, or an on duty supervisor to report this act. If we had specifics like date, time, and location we could investigate the matter and correct the actions of this single officer. We have provided many ways to contact our office, you can also email our internal affairs office at or submit a confidential anonymous tip from our website . On behalf of our police department I apologize to the community and assure you that I will take measures to ensure that this does not happen again.
Chief Phelan

SCATS ~~ Hey Chief, can you GUARANTEE there won't be retaliation on the person who reports one of your guys for this sort of problem? No? We didn't think so!

What about the cop cars parked in "NO PARKING" zones or "Fire Lanes" like in front of many retail stores around town? Shouldn't cops be a good example to the rest of us, unless it's a true emergency?

They MUST Think We're REALLY Stupid

Is there ANYONE naive enough to believe "a scheduling conflict" is the real reason for Section V B-ball Championships getting bounced from the Blue Cross Arena?

This is just one more event (joining a growing list of festivals and other activities) removed from its historical venue due to growing "security concerns."

We predict they won't be playing at Blue Cross Arena in the future either.

Money Wa$ted On Bronson/Barnhart Poll

Their candidacy for the 138th NY State Assembly District should NOT be polling Greece residents!

Nor should they be calling anyone

who is NOT a registered Democrat!
The pollsters included both!

Where's The Justice? Where Are The Answers?

So let me get this straight ...

A 15 yr. old boy has been arrested & got a plea deal charged with just 2 misdemeanors* after originally being charged with 10 different counts. This was after running from half a dozen police agencies, plus the SWAT team & a helicopter and causing Durand beach, the park, the golf course and at least one street to be shutdown with adjacent neighbors locked down. There was a second neighborhood lock down the day this felon was finally arrested.

  • What happened to the home burglary that was initially reported?
  • What happened to the theft of TWO different vehicles?
  • What happened to the other five suspects (3 men, 2 women) the cops were seeking?
  • What happened to the gun & reports by police that shots were fired?
  • What happened to the destruction of property during the high speed chase through the golf course where turf and fencing was destroyed?
  • What happened to the huge cost in time, manpower & other resources to bring this little miscreant to court?
  • How is this plea deal in the interests of the public?

*first-degree reckless endangerment & fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen weapons
