HEY, even Wegmans ain't safe any more.

Them Bored Members are doing this to protect the Future Athletes of Greece.
You never know when a pissed off voter is going to run through SECURITY with a bomb vest and get right past the retired Jail Guards.

A genuine Card Carrying IAFF Union Member has warned us. IAFF guys know what they're talking about!

To Kurt @5:22PM ~~ It's not my beef but the BOE's! Several of them are worried the older folks will vote NO when they find out the polling places have moved. It happened before. History in this town tends to repeat itself. The electeds tend to ignore ALL lessons.

Don't worry 3:15 - ONLY ONE JAIL GUARD LEFT

And you gotta know that street cops don't regard jail guards as real cops anyway.

So it's now Bored Policy that the security persons hired to protect our children in schools are deemed inadequate for protecting the Bored meetings. Retired street PD are the only guards acceptable for Bored protection. I'll bet that comes with a high price! Line item in the next budget request please?

With school safety focused on schools - and probably rightly so, can anyone provide evidence as to when the last 5 attacks on school Bored meetings occurred v. school attacks so that we might justify the hire of guards who cannot realistically provide anymore protection than our children are provided? Unless they are carrying firearms illegally on school property - SAFE ACT felony charges? If convicted do they still get a pension?

The hiring of former jail guards makes perfect sense to me considering the conduct of the inmates attending our schools. As one former retired jail guard no longer with the district explained by saying that he worked for 25 yrs as a jail guard without ever being assaulted , I had to take a job in Greece Schools where after two weeks on the job, he was assaulted by a student who broke his arm. Some of the present security officers are in their 70's. These guys are no match for these young former city thugs. A total joke in terms of effectiveness and perception by the trouble makers That are destroying our schools.

Greece Sports Clubs are closed today for Confederate Generals Day.

There will be no after school practices.
Inmates are encouraged to gather at the Mall.

Many former Greece cops and deputies have quit that job . The reason, the rules of engagement placed on them by the district. They can't touch these little angels and the Angels know this and rub it in when confronted by them , Its a matter of maintaining ones dignity I would guess which is worth more than ten bucks an hour.

Hiring ex cops and turn keys is a useless endeavor when dealing with student behavior. The cop way don't work when its impeded by the education way. It's about brains, connecting... You know, making somebody feel like you care, instead of the Taser, pepper spray, bullets or a ride down the elevator in County threats!

Been doing school security a long time, never been hurt, never been afraid. Why is it that in Greece, the only victims are ex cops and turn keys? Records do exist, take the time to FOIA them.

I ask the district to look at who's been injured OJT, they're background, and personal history dealing with U18 kids and report. I dare GCSD to report the facts. Especially in light of what facts and proof exist. Isn't the head of student safety and security safety mandated to do so? If he can't, I'd be happy to do so.

To 5:29PM ~~ Since when were mandates ever worried about within GCSD??
