This should not surprise anyone. Greece has an immigration problem just like the rest of the world. The worse is yet to come.

To 2:54PM ~~ People "immigrate" to Greece NY??? WHY??

What do you mean by "immigration problem"?

Meanwhile, the Gates Police Department has switched to proactive policing, and the punks have decided to come to Greece to engage in unlawful conduct.

Attention Me Chief, there is a lesson to be learned here. You don't need to do a study, just call Gates and ask them how to employ the PROACTIVE capacity of the in car laptop to grab punks off the street.

If you lived on the east side of town you would understand SCATs,the answer is easy Greece has become Wide Open town where condition are right. Those conditions include among others, cheap rent by none resident home owners, a town with numerous property regulation that are routinely ignored and not enforced under valued homes sold at bargain prices due to the above mentioned conditions, coupled with a
Political infrastructure without checks and balances to correct these short comings.

To 8:51AM ~~ I understand what you're saying, BUT how is Greece able to over-assess these houses?? I've seen it time & again ... house sells for well under the assessed value, but STAYS at the previous over-assessed value on the tax rolls! Makes no sense!!!

SCATS you're talking about the former Free School District properties which have always been an asylum. The Assessor can do it because he has a historic base to stick it on, and the majority of people are either too lazy or too dumb to fight it.

I see people who won't even make an attempt to fill out a few pages of forms crying they "don't know how to do it", and "the system isn't FAIR". My favorites are the ones who think I should go do it for them, because I know how to do it. Of course they'd rather pay taxes than pay me to save them taxes.

To 1:24PM ~~ Actually, I'm talking about many properties scattered throughout Greece. I'm sure laziness and stupidity are also factors.

I went down Beverly Hths today and it is very evident the town is not enforcing property maintenence codes, counted 9 cars in one driveway.

To 2:47PM ~~ I wasn't aware there was a limit. Can you please provide the section of the Town Code that spells out the rules on that? TY.

No such limit on number of cars unless they are junk and not legally registered. Junk cars are covered under property maintenence ordanance . However, commercial vehicles of any type are supposed to be banned. Lol. This applies to motor homes parked in front of homes near the right away. Again,LOL

To 4:07PM ~~ It might be funny if it weren't so sad! A neighbor has a HUGE rec. vehicle parked nexted to his home. It hasn't been moved in at least 3 years. Weeds the height of young trees (3-5 feet) have grown up between it and his fence! Can you say "UGLY"??

9 cars and RVs in driveways? come to brighton where two cars park in a two car garage!
