Security Issues Questioned

Anonymous Anonymous said...
Is there anyone on the GCSD BOE, or maybe the retired GPD senior officer who I hear is now currently Head of GCSD Security, or any security supervisor who might describe a legal precedent that states how a District vehicle that is unregistered, uninspected, and uninsured arrives at the plaza on Long Pond near English today from a school location without violating the Law? I would think that District liability, desertion of post, and operating out of jurisdictional bounds would be grounds for immediate termination!!! Especially if said operator was found to be knowledgeable of V&T Laws (I suspect in an earlier career, he swore some professional oath). Anyone in a position of leadership who violates the trust of his employer, his charges, and his peers while willfully violating the Law and putting the safety of the children he has been hired to protect at risk is A RISK THE EMPLOYER CAN NO LONGER TOLERATE.  6/15/2015 7:55 PM

I'd willingly bet a Happy Meal GCSD vehicles all carry insurance cards that read "All owned vehicles" (common to fleets).

A District owned vehicle designated as a SECURITY vehicle may also be plate exempt and if it meets criteria as an Emergency Vehicle Inspection isn't required. The best part, NY V&T Law exempts drivers of Emergency Vehicles from needing Operator's Licenses too.

To 2:47PM ~~ So the lawnmower they drive down Maiden Ln, the school buses, the van that delivers board packets and the security vehicle are all in the SAME "fleet"??

It's nice to know that in a pinch, a pre-K student could fill-in as a driver ... in an "emergency" ;)

Good Luck 2:47. My advice, please become more knowledgeable. And here's why based on Law,

I'd willingly bet a lot of money in a lawsuit, that if the District employee taking on the responsibility of operating said vehicle off school grounds were injured, caused injury, or injured a student being transported in said vehicle... there would be many rich passengers, lawyers, and parents!

There is no such classification as "Emergency School Security Vehicle".

Buses are required to undergo rigorous vehicle inspections, as they transport students. The mail and delivery vehicle known as the "security car" must be inspected same as a bus (it is used for student transport!).

More importantly, said vehicle does not possess the required equipment to be roadworthy. Emergency equipment must meet NYS laws for lights, seatbelts, and etc. Be specifically designated and placarded as such, and contain all NHTSA required equipment.

Lastly, and probably most important to the whole argument, and why I win my lawsuit! Security Guards have no jurisdiction beyond the boundaries of their employers property. So any guard operating that vehicle outside of his employers property has violated the legal constraints incumbent on that employee. That would make that employee a threat not only to the employer, but also his family.

Heard a rumor today that Greece taxpayers will be footing the bill for free breakfast & lunch for all students beginning this fall, regardless of household income.

Yep and adults can eat for $1.50... Better'n effing welfare!!! But wrong about Greece taxpayers footing the bill from a school tax issue. It's another subsidized program by State and Federal monies. Lots more pissed off people than Greece residents... If only they all knew how their State and Federal taxes were really used err...ABUSED. If you keep feeding them they will continue to reproduce, if you starve them they won't have the energy!!!

To 8:31AM & 5PM ~~ According to an item in today's Greece Post, it is for the SUMMER only. And yes, the adults get breakfast for $1.50 and lunch for $3. Now pick up your Obama phone, call your friends and invite everyone to attend ;)

BeckieSue and her sister is working up a group right now of slightly overweight housewives to take advantage of that program. She got the idea from our daughter Chevelle when she heard the girl on the phone talking to another kid about how that school food gives you the S#!**.

BeckieSue's sister and her both figure they can get up a group walk over tot he school for breakfast, waddle around the schoolyard till lunch, grab lunch and then use the school toilet to shed weight. Loretta, that's the sister says they probably ought to take their own soft toilet paper cause the school paper ain't quality.

I'm all for it, hell anything that helps BeckieSue drop a few pounds I'm for.

To 3:15PM ~~ If you think that school food is bad, you ought to try the over-priced "food truck rodeo" swill they pander for their fundraisers. I'm sure you can shed a few after paying $11 for a plate of food truck mac & cheese!

To 7:30PM ~~ I've seen it parked at a specific residence frequently.

It's not just the car. We all know that abuse of District monies, he used to sit in the turnaround at 390 ramp to 490 eats with the real PD cars pretending to do the job he had before this one (right! your initials left out this time). And then be seen on a booty call in a driveway over in the Sharon/Erath neighborhood. The other "vehicle" that is seen about(seems to be from one school only - kinda close to Latta and Long Pond area. It patrols, transports, makes coffee and yogurt runs, interferes with foot traffic on sidewalks, and really creates a nuisance for Police Officers responding. Car and body cam videos are awesome tools when lawsuits hit - even civilians have them! S and M are gonna have a hard day in court when evidence comes to light.
