Are these Q & As amongst themselves or Q & As with the public?

SCATS said...

To 5:38AM ~~ Probably amongst themselves. They are not the type to "dialog" with the community ;)

SCATS....Just came across the twitter page of Adam Crandall. It appears that he has announced he will not be seeking reelection for another term on the BOE. This is news to me...Have you heard anything in regards to this!?

SCATS said...

To 5:01PM ~~ As we've said before, we've heard that ONLY Grinnan had a petition to seek reelection. We've heard nothing about any other candidates.

Crandall's FB page states:

"To all of my supporters and the community of Greece...after much deliberation I have made the decision to not seek reelection for another term on the Greece Board of Education. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me over these past 3 years! We have accomplished some great things and I could not be more proud to give back to such a great community! My last day on the board will be the 30th of June."

Crandall and Van Orman have missed some BOE meetings recently. They are there for the main votes but not the work meetings over the past month or two. Kinda confirms they are not running.

SCATS said...

To 5:55PM ~~ As thrilled as we might be that they aren't running again, the bigger issue is whether or not ANYONE runs who can do more than fog a mirror.

Hey...Richie Cunningham is running, maybe he will be the right candidate.

SCATS said...

To 8:46PM ~~ He will fit right in with the other bobbleheads.

Think property taxes are not high enough? Think property taxes are having a negative effect on any economic resurgence of our area and town? Think the increase in state-aid was enough to put an end to more school tax increases? Well you are wrong. Your school district and school board last night made it very clear that THEY are not interested in cost containment. THEY do not think that THEY should be a part of making our town a leader of economical resurgence.
At this point I will use just 2 items.
Enrollment 'down'!!!
Spending 'up' over $$$ 7.5 MILLION $$$ and of course 'higher' property taxes to pay for it. This is what was approved by the school board - the rational? - it's ok because other districts want to do the same thing.
Greece 'residents' will have their voice on May 19th.

VanOrman has serious injury from accident.

VanOrman's children have graduated, as have her friends' children (and her children's friends)... she was always rather protective and possessive of them. Nobody left that she knows with that same passion.

SCATS said...

To 11:45AM ~~ With the same passion for what?? Special benefits?
