The Greece Police announced that three Greece Athena students face charges relating to the recording of a disabled student doing inappropriate acts. All three face the charge of endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. One faces that charge as well as the felony charge of possession of obscene sexual performance by a child.
The Greece Police Chief also revealed today that there were two seperate incidents with the same victims and the same student with disabilities where recording were made.
Last night in exclusive interview with News 8, Angela Fernandez told us her son admitted to recording the incident at Greece Athena High School but that all of the teens involved were joking around. We spoke with her again today after her son was charged.
"I was flabbergasted. I didn't think it was gonna come to this," said Angela Fernandez, the accused boy's mother. "It was a kid doing something silly and he pulled out his phone. And he thought it was funny. He didn't touch the boy."
Now Ms. Fernandez is trying to hire an attorney. There was a school hearing set for tomorrow, something Fernandez says she is rethinking attending.
SCATS ~~ Thanks to the pressure put on by the Greece community & the parents of children with special needs, these punks will learn about how "funny" they really were.
