Letter To Santa

Dear Santa,
How are you? How is Mrs. Claus? I hope everyone, from the reindeer to the elves, is fine. I have been a very good boy this year. I would like an X-Box 360 with Call of Duty IV and an iPhone 9 for Christmas. I hope you remember that come Christmas Day. Merry Christmas, Timmy Jones

Dear Timmy,
Thank you for your letter. Mrs. Claus, the reindeer and the elves are all fine and thank you for asking about them. Santa is a little worried all the time you spend playing video games and texting. Santa wouldn't want you to get fat. Since you have indeed been a good boy, I think I'll bring you something you can go outside and play with.
Merry Christmas, Santa Claus

Mr. Claus,
Seeing that I have fulfilled the "naughty vs. nice" contract, set by you I might add, I feel confident that you can see your way clear to granting me what I have asked for. I certainly wouldn't want to turn this joyous season into one of litigation. Also, don't you think that a jibe at my weight coming from an overweight man who goes out once a year is a bit trite?
Respectfully, Tim Jones

Mr. Jones,
While I have acknowledged you have met the "nice" criteria, need I remind you that your Christmas list is a request and in no way is it a guarantee of services provided. Should you wish to pursue legal action, well that is your right. Please know, however, that my attorneys have been on retainer ever since the Burgermeister Meisterburger incident and will be more than happy to take you on in open court. Additionally, the exercise I alluded to will not only improve your health, but also improve your social skills and potentially help clear up a complexion that looks like the bottom of the Burger King fry bin most days.
Very Truly Yours, S Claus

Now look here Fat Man,
I told you what I want and I expect you to bring it. I was attempting to be polite about this but you brought my looks and my friends into this. Now you just be disrespecting me. I'm about to tweet my boys and we're gonna be waiting for your fat ass and I'm taking my game console, my game, my phone, and whatever else I want. WHAT EVER I WANT, MAN!
T-Bone

Listen Pizza Face,
Seriously??? You think a dude that breaks into every house in the world on one night and never gets caught sweats a skinny g-banger wannabe? "He sees you when you're sleeping; He knows when you're awake". Sound familiar, genius? You know what kind of resources I have at my disposal. I got your shit wired, Jack. I go all around the world and see ways to hurt people that if I described them right now, you'd throw up your Totino's pizza roll all over the carpet of your mom's basement. You're not getting what you asked for, but I'm still stopping by your crib to stomp a mud hole in your ass and then walk it dry. Chew on that, Petunia.
S Claus

Dear Santa,
Bring me whatever you see fit. I'll appreciate anything.
Timmy

Timmy,
That's what I thought you little bastard.
Santa

Political Correctness Is Like A Disease

About The Office Party ...

Company Memo
FROM:    Patty Lewis, Human Resources Director
TO:         All Employees
DATE:    November 1, 2012
RE:       Gala Christmas Party
I'm happy to inform you that the company Christmas Party will take place on December 23rd, starting at noon in the private function room at the Grill House.
There will be a cash bar and plenty of drinks!  We'll have a small band playing traditional carols... feel free to sing along.  And don't be surprised if our CEO shows up dressed as Santa Claus!
A Christmas tree will be lit at 1:00 PM.  Exchanges of gifts among employees can be done at that time; however, no gift should be over $10.00 to make the giving of gifts easy for everyone's pockets.
This gathering is only for employees!
Our CEO will make a special announcement at that time!
Merry Christmas to you and your family,
Patty
Company Memo
FROM:    Patty Lewis, Human Resources Director
TO:         All Employees
DATE:    November 2, 20102
RE:       Gala  Holiday  Party
In no way was yesterday's memo intended to exclude our Jewish employees.  We recognize that  Hanukkah is an important holiday, which often coincides with Christmas, though unfortunately not this year.
However, from now on,  we're calling it our "Holiday Party."  The same policy applies to any other employees who are not Christians and to those still celebrating Reconciliation Day.
There will be no Christmas tree and no Christmas carols will be sung.
We will have other types of music for your enjoyment.
Happy now?
Happy Holidays to you and your family,
Patty

RE:         Holiday  Party
Regarding the note I received from a member of Alcoholics Anonymous requesting a non-drinking table, you didn't sign your name...
I'm happy to accommodate this request, but if I put a sign on a table that  reads, "AA Only", you wouldn't be anonymous anymore.  How am I supposed to handle this?
Somebody?
And sorry, but forget about the gift exchange, no gifts are allowed since the union members feel that $10.00 is too much money and the executives believe $10.00 is a little chintzy.
REMEMBER: NO GIFTS EXCHANGE WILL BE ALLOWED.
Patty

RE:        Generic  Holiday  Party
What a diverse group we are!  I had no idea that December 20thbegins the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which forbids eating and drinking during daylight hours.
There goes the party!  Seriously, we can appreciate how a luncheon at this time of year does not accommodate our Muslim employees' beliefs.  Perhaps the Grill House can hold off on serving your meal until the end of the party or else package everything for you to take it home in little foil doggy baggy.  Will that work?
Meanwhile, I've arranged for members of Weight Watchers to sit farthest from the dessert buffet, and pregnant women will get the table closest to the restrooms.
Gays are allowed to sit with each other.  Lesbians do not have to sit with Gay men, each group will have their own table.
Yes, there will be flower arrangement for the Gay men's table.
To the person asking permission to cross dress, the Grill House asks that no cross-dressing be allowed, apparently because of concerns about confusion in the restrooms.  Sorry.
We will have booster seats for short people.
Low-fat food will be available for those on a diet.
I am sorry to report that we cannot control the amount of salt used in the food .  The Grill House suggests that people with high blood pressure taste a bite first.
There will be fresh "low sugar" fruits as dessert for diabetics, but the restaurant cannot supply "no sugar" desserts. Sorry!
Did I miss anything?!?!?

RE:         The F*%^ing Holiday Party
I've had it with you vegetarian pricks!!!  We're going to keep this party at the Grill House whether you like it or not, so you can sit quietly at the table furthest from the "grill of death," as you so quaintly put it, and you'll get your f*%^ing salad bar, including organic tomatoes.
But you know, tomatoes have feelings, too.  They scream when you slice them.  I've heard them scream.  I'm hearing them scream right NOW!
The rest of you f*%^ing wierdos can kiss my *ss.  I hope you all have a rotten holiday!
Drive drunk and die,
The B*tch from H*ll!!!

RE:       Patty Lewis and  Holiday  Party
I'm sure I speak for all of us in wishing Patty Lewis a speedy recovery from her recent nervous breakdown and I'll continue to forward your cards to her at the asylum.
In the meantime, management has decided to cancel our Holiday Party and give everyone the afternoon of the 23rd off with full pay.
Happy Whatever!

Excerpt ~ Letter to Editor, Greece Post, 12/10/15

Communicate tax facts better!

Finance Director Paul Holahan’s recent letter to the editor, “2016 town budget...” (GP 12/10) is a welcome addition to public discussion.  I hope he continues.

Readers may recall another recent essay by Supervisor Bill Reilich and Greece Town Board (GP 11/12).  Their headline said, “The 2016 proposed budget – No tax increase for residents”.

To many, this sounds good – maybe too good, so what does it mean?

Does it mean all residents... including renters?  Arguably all [nearly all] adult residents pay property taxes directly or indirectly.

Does it mean all residents regardless of increasing taxable valuation/assessment e.g. re-assessments or declining exemptions etc?

Does it mean NO businesses, even though they pass the cost of higher taxes on to customers?

What were the numbers when the Board proofed the statement before publishing their essay?

The budget says taxes for 2016 (total all tax bills, $37.7 million) will exceed 2015.  Conversely, the Board essay says, “...No tax increase for residents”!  So, who pays the tax increase?

Director Holahan says it’s development in the town.  Okay, what is the assessment growth in residential, business, industrial etc?  How well is COMIDA working?

While the budget alone may add up, the budget and the essay don’t square one-to-the-other!

The guard is recovering at the hospital.
A 16 year old female student was later arrested and charged with harassment and disorderly conduct.

'No Apologies: Merritt Rahn Breaks His Silence'

HEAR FROM HIM TONIGHT!

Former Greece police chief Merritt Rahn sat down with Time Warner Cable News anchor Casey Bortnick in an exclusive interview to air Thursday night at 6 & 10 PM on Time-Warner Cable News.

"Rahn served 28 months of a five year prison sentence for tampering with public records, falsely reporting an incident, and official misconduct. He maintains his innocence and shares his version of these events in the Time Warner Cable News special "No Apologies: Merritt Rahn Breaks His Silence."
Rahn not only denies covering up a crash involving one of his officers, he says he strongly opposed the hiring of another officer who was later convicted of using his badge to try to coerce two women into having sex. Rahn's former deputy chief believes the depositions from a recently settled civil trial against the town of Greece shed new light on Rahn's case.
"Somebody's not telling the truth. That's one of the reasons I support Merritt. I know what went down during that 2009 incident and my feeling is that he was not treated fairly," said Bill Mackin.
"I think the whole shredding thing and the gun being stolen and not reporting it on time was all just puff. I think it was a political trial and I think Auberger didn't go in and tell the truth about things," said John Parrinello, Rahn's attorney."

SCATS ~~ The BOE plans to boot taxpayers out of the schools for the annual May vote. They claim it is "disruptive" to the elementary kids, among other silly excuses. Also, hold onto your wallets, folks! They are complaining about a lack of space at certain schools! What's next? Plans to build another new elementary school?

Greece New York

"What would you think of a town in which every decision of the town board had been unanimous for at least a dozen years, and in which town board members are allowed no public dissent at meetings, and none is ever expressed? A town in which it was virtually impossible to get a meeting with the town supervisor? One where citizens who express any dissent were met with either silence or disdain? Agenda Topics of Note
Non-Unit Rates (Retired cops)
Summer School Program Report
Enrollment Projections - Are they priming us so they can ask us to BUILD another school??

Why does the Office of School Safety & Security really want us to pay $20/hour - an "events rate" - so Steve Chatteron's retired cop/buddies can work for GCSD? What's in it for taxpayers?

Why do we pay disc jockeys $10-35/hour, but a "security worker sub" gets just $9/hour?

BOE Meeting Tonight, 6:30PM

Public Hearing Re: Discovery Charter School at 6:30 pm, followed by the Regular Meeting of the Board of Education.

Anticipated Executive Session at 5:30 pm.

Will the District Clerk convince BOE to boot GCSD budget vote & BOE elections to off-district sites?

At what cost to the voting public's convenience?

  • Barrows claims 800 voters can't be accommodated at Paddy Hill School (What did we do when MORE people voted? In 1991 election, well over 10,000 voters cast ballots @14 locations!!)
  • Access to parking, handicap spaces, restrooms sited as problems (How do they handle this for Open Houses??)
  • Claims too many sites causes "slow reporting" of results! (This was NEVER an issue until Barrows took over! OMG, the results of the stadium defeat STILL haven't been reported by GCSD!)
  • BOE Prez. worries about public entering schools they paid for! (I thought our head of security had a sure-fire system to keep pedophiles away!)
  • District blames voters for hurting student instruction on vote day! (Sooner or later you just had to know they'd blame those low test scores/graduation rates on the folks who foot the bill!)

SCATS ~~ I want EVERY REGISTERED VOTER IN GCSD's boundary to vote this coming May! DON'T LET THEM BOOT US OUT OF THE SCHOOLS WE BUILT & MAINTAIN!

GCSD's Bullying Task Force Is "BS"

Anonymous said...

Anonymous 2015
Bullying and misconduct is alive and well in the Greece Central School District. Gang activity has increased and the code of conduct is a joke. Students are being taunted by bullies and when they have taken more than they can tolerate and fight back they are arrested. Although, the school district states that they have a bullying task force, that is bull****. They do not want to be on the list of worst schools in America, so they overlook the bad behavior leaving your child to protect themselves. Parents should direct their complaints of bullying to the NYS Department of Education this should light a fire under their butts and protect the students who want to learn.     10/13/2015 3:41 AM

Tell-Tale Signs Of Athena's/GCSD's Demise

Anonymous Anonymous said...
The Greece school district is terrible. Many have chosen to send their kids to Catholic schools this year. Many reasons behind that. Athena is going down hill very fast, security guards at all practices since items are being stolen and the teachers are just turning the other way and letting kids do whatever they want. It is simply awful how the district is. Put the kids back in their home schools and not allow this school of choice to go on. Athena would then not be over crowded and many of the riff raff would not be there. If parents want the kids to go to Athena then live in that district. Teachers moving out f the district so they don't have to send their kids to the school - simply amazing and a tell tale sign of how bad the district is.

Recent alumni and their parent are so happy that they don't have to deal with the school anymore. That is just a sad state of affairs.       9/28/2015 10:37 PM

It's Time To End Supt/Administrative Contracts

GreeceResident1 said...
I'm one of the 50,983 qualified voters mentioned in the post. Like the majority of the townspeople, I don't use the public education system and derive no benefit from it. The people that should be participating in the BOE election are the parents of the children in the district who receive a school tax bill and the parents of the children in the district who don't receive a school tax bill because they are not property owners.
The lesser minority of people in the town of Greece who use the school district need to rethink how their tax dollars are being used. The central district organization is inflated with middle management (e.g., assistant superintendents) who hold titles of dubious importance that serves the administration more than the student body. Quite frankly, the parents are victims of clever flimflam artists who have taken them into their confidence with superlative platitudes of leadership excellence based upon their own vainglorious self-aggrandizement.

Ask yourselves this question; how can the BOE believe the marketing pitch of a superintendent candidate who demands to be hired on a private contract as if they should be considered equal to a CEO of a private business that produces a tangible product or service? How can they grant a compensatory package of salary and benefits that exceeds the county executive or the sitting governor of New York, both of whom are public employees and responsible for many, many more persons as well as overseeing discernible vital services provided by the county and the State?

Today's system of primary education has fallen far and away from scholastic standards necessary to prepare students for higher education. It has slowly evolved into academic mediocrity and political group-think that comes from bureaucrats who justify their employment by creating a convoluted process of imparting knowledge (i.e., "Common Core") simply because it's different and not necessarily better.

The children are being ill prepared for matriculation into a university or college learning environment of serious studies and will find themselves in remedial classes that should have been completed in high school. The tuition for those classes will cost as much as the rest of their coursework and add to the mountain of student debt that will have to be paid when or if, they graduate.

Parents should demand the BOE end the practice of hiring superintendents on private contracts. They should demand the district end hiring executive personnel for functions that rarely change or only need occasional oversight (e.g., Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum Instruction and Assessment, Assistant Superintendent for Student Learning and Support Services, etc.).

The cost of primary education is becoming unaffordable for property owners and will only worsen as long as they continue to allow their hard earned money to be taken by coercion at the behest of the syndicate of doctors of sophistic duplicity.     9/24/2015 2:06 AM
