3 Arrested, 12 Suspended ...

Investigation into Olympia gang fight continues ...

SCATS ~~ A question for GCSD administration: If you didn't know about the fight until Wednesday, how could you possibly declare that it wasn't racially motivated when you hadn't begun investigating it?

I did also note that you didn't deny it was gang related. Maybe you've raised one eye above the sand your head is stuck in ...?

Gee, while we're asking questions; How about we ask how many of the "students" involved in the brawl are actually residents of the GCSD area?

Maybe we can't cause that might down a GCSD employee's Christmas mood/party schedule.
Can we still say Christmas on GCSD property?

To 3:24PM ~~ Great first question, but expect the sound of chirping crickets in response.

Christmas was essentially outlawed years ago. They prefer the term Merry Christma-kwanza-khuh.

Tired of this nonsense in GCSD. We need to get good people to start running for the school board and give Greece an enema.

TRUE BUT IT WAS REINSTATED IN 2005 when Keller- Cogan was run out of Town.

In the past when there's been an incident such as this, I've gotten an automated call from GCSD (usually saying it's under control or something like that). Not this time though.

To 6:51PM ~~ It will take a min. of FIVE people and two years to get the needed 5 votes for anything. Maybe it would be easier to reduce the BOE to a BOE of five first ... then run three ;)

To 7:02PM ~~ depends on the school.

To 8:08PM ~~ Because they had NO CLUE, none at all. (Caught with their knickers down)

6:51. Your right so stop complaining, get involved, visit the board clerk or give her a call and she will be glad to see that you get a petition to run fro the board in May of next year.venting your frustrations here won't make it happen.

Sounds like 6:09AM will vote for 6:51PM ...

OK, folks, Kristo Miettinen here. I ran last year, and lost, in epic proportions.

To those of you who want someone on the BOE to clean this up, please help me understand:

(1) What should the BOE have done (at what point in the past was an issue presented to them on which they should have acted)?

(2) What should the BOE do going forward? What is the repair/recovery plan?

(3) Did you vote? I hope so, but did you? Will you vote next year?

-Kristo.
