Two Injured In Home Invasion

Greece police report that two people were injured during a home invasion on Polo Ln. (English Rd. near Long Pond) around 4PM Tuesday afternoon.

Three black males armed with hand guns entered the home and forcibly removed property.

Both victims were transported to the hospital with non-life- threatening injuries.

Only the D & C is reporting race.

Not true, 7:38PM. We're reporting it too.

Was Code Compliance there to CONDEMN the house? They like doing that to ransacked houses.

Did the homeowner have proper permits to run a wholesale jewelry business from the House? He should be Cited for that.

What's wrong with reporting the facts as they are? You make is sound as though it was racist to report the facts.
Get used to it, things are a changing fast in good ole Greece and not for the better. Incidents like this are going to continue because of this fact. They will increase the closer we get to the Holiday Season.Trust me.

To 7:03AM ~~ Starting a number of years back, the media got smacked for being "racist" by stating that the "suspects" were black, Hispanic, etc. so they pretty much stopped.

I agree with you. More is coming and it's not going to stay in the white trash neighborhoods of town, either.

PS ~~ DO NOT BOTHER WRITING IN ABOUT YOUR OUTRAGE OVER MY PREVIOUS STATEMENT. It IS true. Anyone with common sense can see it.

There are lots of "white trash" in greece. Just some areas hide it better... Our town supervisor, past and present, live in pretty nice areas. The "parents" that live down the street from me that verbally abuse their daughters and other kids are very trashy in my opinion- the wife is a nurse at general hospital and dad is also well employed and college educated. There are creeps from every socioeconomic class.. Don't be fooled by degrees or nice homes.

Scats 7:03 some confusion here. The writing in about outrage you refer to did not come from me.. Just for the record!

To 3:08PM ~~ I'm sorry, but I wasn't referring to you. Instead, I was telling others to not bother. The literate ones heeded the warning.

To the individual that stated that there are lots of white trash in Greece. You might want to drive around the county and take a look at other towns. Example, Irondequoit, E.Roch,Gates and yes parts of the holy land of Brighton. What town isn’t changing folks. The City is pushing out to all suburbs. Everyone say the eastside is the best, I disagree, Webster,Penfield for example boarder nothing but poverty and it’s spreading. Rochester and the suburbs will never be what it was.

To 6:58PM ~~ So then, shall we just rollover & play dead? I was in a grocery store this week where a scene was acted out that I've NEVER seen in Greece before. It was scary!! It was also very low class. I hoped the store manager would step-up and say something to the parties involved. He did not. But who can blame him? He's probably scared, too. For me, I chose to grab a few things and get out! We'll have to do another trip to the store to get what wasn't purchased that day. SAD!!

No, rolling over and playing dead is not what I'm saying. My point is that it's all around us. You want to hear a true story. I witnessed a fight in the Pittsford Wegmans over a parking spot for pregnant mothers. So you tell me if that scene is any different. If this was just a Greece problem I'd move out but this is a wide spread problem. Seeing that you are anti Greece way don't you get out and live somewhere where else. Try posting more news like the ex supervisor of Henrietta who is in trouble for taking money for his campaign.

To 8:17PM ~~ Do NOT EVER tell me or anyone else to "move out" if we don't like it! I nearly deleted your comment for that typical good ole boy response to our town's problems. The only reason I'm posting it is to tell you this BLOG is about G-R-E-E-C-E, not Henrietta! FYI, I've paid my dues (and outrageous taxes) to this town many times over and I'll b*tch all I want to, capisce?

As for parking spaces for pregnant women, I already talked to the Mgr. of the Mt. Read store shortly after they put those silly signs up. She agreed they are completely unenforcible and more of a "request" for compliance. She disagreed that they will cause anger (fights?) among customers. She did not like the fact that I told her she needs to create special signs/spaces for folks with arthritic knees, mental conditions, grandparents, veterans, Boy Scouts and many other "special" groups worthy of perks. I park in those spaces with no regrets at all. I've even seen cars with teen boys parking in them. They didn't look pregnant.

I agree with SCATS about the stupid special parking spots at Wegmans. I shop there often and also park in whatever space is available. Being pregnant is not a medical condition. What's the definition of small or young child anyway, who determines the cut off age? My 11 year old has JRA and while he's not a small child, he has difficulty walking some days.

To 7:32AM ~~ TY :)

I've also seen people have a passenger get out of their car and move the signs to a space already occupied. Then they pull into the empty space that has no sign. Clever.
