Odorisi DQ's AQ

COMMON SENSE PREVAILS!

Battaglia does double-speak: "I wouldn't do anything different... I'd put him in shoulder pads."

Scats,
How ironic is this that the BOE gets rid of the soccer coach, who has coached so many years, who has never won a sectional championship, and what do you know? They win a sectional championship! The first time, in the history of Athena. The Athena Trojans soccer team is a sectional champion! Love the irony old coach.

Plain and simple. The fault lies with the AQ AD, The kid had all the necessary medical waivers to qualify to play in the last game. What t he coach is saying now is a fact. Had he been aware of the content of the 3 game rule which in one section says that an injured player coming off the injured list, must be eligible and fully able to participate in the next game. Had the coach fully dressed the player , that would fulfill the requirement and he could have still held him out of the Game making him eligible for the Pittsford game.

To 2:42PM ~~ I agree the AD is at fault, but I think the coach is too. Especially so when you consider that in reality, the judge's decision had less to do with Section 5 rules and more to do with "the glaring absence of medical clearance prior to the Oct. 18th game ..." - quoted from the written decision. Kinda sounds like a lil fib was told ;)

Maybe old coach was to tough on kids. Good for them for pulling off the win but maybe if past coaches were still around the individual interviews would of been slightly dignified. Greece residents wonder why they get a bad name, a player was injured (unsure of severity) and taken to urgent care. In three interviews done with replacement player at no point was injured teammate mentioned. He did however consistently jab the decades of teams who were unable to do what he did. I personally was a member of one of those teams, coached by the man removed by the board. When past coach was unfairly let go I shook my head in my Eastside home thankful I wasn't a resident of Greece anymore. Watching those interviews I shook my head glad my kids won't be raised in that district. Greece Athenas past players may not have the title but they will always have what's obviously lacking now, integrity and TEAM loyalty.

To 7:11PM ~~ In Greece, "integrity" is a 4-letter word.

Wow is all i can to 7:11. What a way to rain on the kids' parade. Maybe you didn't see all the interviews but the one from channel 8 shows clearly that the boys did it for their teammate that got injured. How ironic that you talk about integrity. This group of kids have more integrity than you will ever have.

To 4:19PM ~~ That video proves nothing ... words are cheap.

As for integrity, most Greece parents involved in sports programs wouldn't recognize it if it hit them in the arse.

Of course the video proves exactly the point that 7:11 was contesting. That the players did not mention the hurt player and they did just that in the video. Why do you have to put in your two worthless cents in the argument. It is simple I just provided proof of what 7:11 was saying they didn't do. End of story. Oh btw, the current team is going even further without "the best coach Athena ever had" Hahahahahahaha

To 8:13PM ~~ Yup, the video "proves" they mentioned a name. BFD. That is NOT the same as proving they did it for their teammate. Like I said, talk is cheap.

My 2 cents is worth at least face value and is given freely, since this is not your BLOG :)
