Such a tragedy. Police Officers know the dangers of this job yet dedicate their lives to protecting others. It's a shame when they are not protected by the judicial system who let dangerous criminals out on parole, especially violent repeat offenders like the pos who took this young mans life. May Officer Pierson rest in peace and many thoughts and prayers to his family, friends and colleagues.

8:54 May God bless you for your heartfelt comment on this terrible tragedy I'm sure the Almighty reads this site and has taken special note of you and your thoughts. I'm sure He also took note of the lack of similar expressions of sympathy from other regular commenters on the site.
At the moment his soul left his body, St Michael, the Archangel , and patron Saint of Law Enforcement, took charge of it and on his white horse, carried him to heaven where he now rests in the arms of our Lord for eternity
May God bless and keep him and bring comfort to those he left behind.

To 2:23PM ~~ I don't usually post about this kind of event, especially when it's not related to Greece. But in this particular case, it appears that Officer Pierson lived and died the life of a REAL hero. He took an ACTIVE ROLE in trying to rid the city of illegal weapons and the criminals that use them against the rest of us - he was a great role model for others. Sadly, our criminal justice system FAILED to protect us from the evil who murdered this cop.

PS ~~ I don't believe God works in the manner you described. Feeling sympathy & expressing it are two different things. This is one of those times when there are few words that seem proper.

Scats I believe God works in mysterious ways . With regard to 2:23 's post, the part about god reading this blog was meant to be a little sarcastic. At least that's the way I read it.
