Two Greece Cops Injured At Mall*

UPDATED: WHEC-TV reports: "Police say two officers were injured while making an arrest outside of Greece Ridge Mall on Saturday afternoon.
Investigators say the officers were called to the mall for reports of a domestic dispute, and they sustained minor injuries while trying to arrest James Pallifrone, 54, of Gates outside of Benucci’s Italian Restaurant.
Pallifrone was arraigned and remanded to the Monroe County Jail in lieu of bail. He’s facing multiple charges including assault and resisting arrest.
Police say the injured officers are ok."

13WHAM news reports:

It was not Bar Louie. It was Benucci's. As usual you have it wrong, yet again!!!!

To 7:11PM ~~ LMAO!!! You really get off trying to find mistakes on this BLOG, don't you?

Here's a lil clue, just for you: I posted the BLOG from the 13WHAM website verbatim (I know it's a word you will probably have to look up, but oh well ...) at 5:25PM. I saw the news at 6PM and they reported it as BAR LOUIE too. Now the 13WHAM website has been changed to say Benucci's, an update they posted at 6:54PM. Then you write in to b*tch at 7:11PM.

So bottom line, take your complaint to the SOURCE ~ 13WHAM.com. I'm pretty sure they will tell you what you can do with it ;)

Oh and by the way, it says "outside of Benucci's" ... which is also outside of Bar Louie. Maybe it started inside Bar Louie ... DOES IT REALLY MATTER? The bigger points are:
1 - THERE WAS A FIGHT AT THE MALL. (yet again)
2 - TWO GPD COPS WERE HURT HANDLING THE ISSUE.

No comment on test scores?

To 8:50AM ~~ I've barely looked at them yet. I assume that if there was something stellar to report about Greece's performance, then Babsie would have called a press conference lol

No updates on home invasion either because it was an inside job and our ace of detectives was punked yet again.

Why no charges against the person who backed over the older woman on Eileen Drive?

I thought the driver was always at fault when backing up.

Should be an open and shut case.

Did she commit suicide by throwing herself behind the car?

SCATS said...

To 6:28PM ~~ Good questions. I agree about the driver being responsible when in reverse. Anyone know about this?

Did you see the story in today's D & C how Dave Garretson wants Joe Morelle's job? He can't even get a single dem elected in Greece and he wants a bigger higher paying job? Seriously? What makes him think he's qualified besides his ego?

SCATS said...

To 9:40AM ~~ In politics, WHAT qualifications are needed?? In Greece, we constantly elect the unqualified to appoint even less qualified people to work 'for us!'

Anonymous said...

I guess it depends on who you vote for. And what you consider qualified and unqualified. Education vs. Business acumen etc and integrity vs lack of integrity which both parties clearly lack in our town. But in politics winning elections does come into play when being promoted to a higher position. Ken Warner is the real producer.

To 11:08AM ~~ An even broader issue than WHO you vote for is looking at WHO decides to run for office. Personally, I'm sick to death of voting for the lesser-of-two-evils. I'd prefer to choose from the-better-of-two-candidates!

Anonymous said...

That is definitely a good point! Why do they want to be in office. People get in it for the wrong reasons sometimes. Or most of the time. Always a hidden agenda.

Anonymous said...

Why is it that someone who has been involved in many community programs, has either a good honest job or runs an honest business, once they run for office somehow they are a crook less than honorable? With the scrutiny today of anyone that runs they must be clean or it would come out. No one said they are perfect, no one is.

SCATS said...

WARNING!! The very personally insulting comments received about potential candidates will NOT be posted! Some of you need to find new hobbies.

To 3:20PM ~~ Would you have said that about Auberger, too, in his early days? Look how things turned out with him! Like the saying goes: Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely!!

Anonymous said...

3:32 So then anyone with power is corrupt from your point of view. Principal has power over teachers, corrupt, teacher has power over students, corrupt and you choose what gets posted so you have that power, Scats corrupt. Now I get it.

SCATS said...

To 4:55PM ~~ Just as the rest of the media has power over what they report ... no more, no less. The financial risk is all on this end, not yours ;)

Hey Scats ..

How is it that they know that drugs or alcohol were not involved in the accident involving the pedestrian so soon? Are the toxicology results back already?

SCATS said...

To 9:30PM ~~ Maybe they asked Brian Ball ;) lol

I thought this thread was about an incident at the Mall where two officers were hurt?
How do test scores, home invasion, the Eileen Dr accident, Dave Garretson, and elected officials have anything to do about the Mall incident and the injured cops? Talk about off topic crap. This is a prime example of SCATS DRIFT This is often used by Scats when denying the posting of comments viewed as being in conflict with the ideology that drives this blog by declaring them "off topic". It appears that guide lines are being inconsistently applied by blog administration .

It strikes me that the poster being dressed down makes a good point.I don't think he was talking about blog topics as a whole but the thread topic itself . Another fact that strikes me, that in all the comments so far not one person has inquired as to the WELEFARE of the injured police officers. Then again, it's par for the course concerning the attitudes projected here toward our local PD . What an absolute disgrace .BTW , before one of you intellects suggest that I check it out myself, I already did a short time ago with a phone call to GPD HQ, And no, I will not share what I learned on this blog. Make your own inquiry . That is, if you even give a darn.

SCATS said...

To 3:15PM ~~ Your remark about the "WELEFARE" (sic) of the cops is about as far out in left field as it could possibly get! Please tell me of ANY LOCAL MEDIA SOURCE that has reported on that? Please tell me of ANY LOCAL MEDIA SOURCE that provides two-way dialogue with their readers on any regular basis?

Ahhhh! The sounds of crickets ;)

Perhaps the accident report of the driver of the vehicle that struck the elderly woman has gotten lost, never been filed, or she knows someone who knows someone blah blah blah

Continued comments about the operation of this BLOG are NOT being posted in the interests of:

1 - Getting back to topics of interest to the wider audience
2 - Preventing what sometimes feels like the attempted takeover of control of this BLOG by a person who thinks his opinion reigns over all others. It doesn't.

That applies to ALL threads.
