Hueber Talks To John DiTullio

Radio INTERVIEW with the object of Julia's scorn.

He plans to follow-up on Julia's comment that the BOE has info that he and the community don't.

If that info exists, then they damn well better tell him what it is, since it casts him in a negative light as he attempts to get another job.

WTG Julia! Another lawsuit is just what GCSD needs.

Maybe he should not have gone to the media to try and get his job back. What employer would want to hire him knowing that if they let him go he will go directly to the media and cry. And once again, the BOE doesn't have a legal obligation to tell him anything.

To 9:47PM ~~ I think the circumstances surrounding this are unusual in most aspects. I'm not sure that the BOE doesn't owe him an explanation. Even if they didn't before, I'm pretty sure they owe it to him now that Julia opened her big lips to the media saying there's info the BOE has that no one else does. Based upon the interview with DiTullio, not even all of the BOE has that info ... if any actually exists. I'm doubtful that it does.

I'm betting GCSD suffers a lawsuit that they will lose due to the BIG MOUTHS of a couple of BOE members in front of the media. Talk about unprofessional!

To 12:06AM ~~ I believe there's a lot more to a good coach than a win/loss record. Just saying ;)

Reports indicate he already has been hired by another School district for more money than he was paid in Greece. So anything he does now is not about Greece, it's a personal fight between him and Julia and the board .
Unless she is not being truthful , I interpret her comment to mean that discussions about the coach actually did take place at some point by the board in executive session. If this is the case, the only way it will come out is if he starts an action against the district and Julia's allies.

To 7/31/14 @ 11:44PM........Back some years ago didn't Balducci flex the almighty GTA union contract to push a great non-union coach out of a job??

I spoke to a board member yesterday who voted "NO" on this soccer coach debacle. He voted NO because NOT ONE board member could give him a valid reason WHY they should not renew his Coaching appointment.

You do not wreck a 25 year coaching career because a board member has a personal vendetta.

I hope this coach sues the pants off the district.

To 5:38AM ~~ I disagree. It IS about Greece. It's about how Greece operates, treats longtime employees, resolves petty issues (or doesn't), etc.

We look VERY BAD after this!! And we deserve it.

I agree the coach got a raw deal. Saying that, the coach would have been better served to stay out of the media and let the boosters, administration, etc work the typical backwater channels to pressure the no voters to change their vote. Thats how stuff gets done in Greece.

By going so public for so long the coach caused the dark side to dig in their heels. He might well win the battle but he lost the war. He will just go somewhere else & make more money anyways.

The worst part of organized sports are the helicopter parents.

SCATS said...

To 1:10PM ~~ IMHO, there should be NO "backwater channels to pressure" in this, or any other situation! Politics has NO PLACE in public education ... unless you like corruption.

Julia has left the station and came off the tracks. Word has it she is going after Him for making harmful comments about her in the media. Look out we have woman scorned scenario and things could get out of control in a hurry.
The August meeting is going to be the hottest ticket in town. Reserve your seat now,

SCATS said...

To 2:34PM ~~ Isn't it true she's PO'd at him for punishing her kid after the infamous Spring Break debacle in Jamaica? If so, SHE started this mess!

TY for the heads up for the Aug. meeting. I'll be selling GARBAGE PLATES to honor our BOE's decision-making ;)

7:07 so why did he vote NO? Or am I missing something.

SCATS said...

To 2:48PM ~~ I think they made a mistake in how they stated what happened ...

Anonymous said...

Perhaps coaches should be entitled to tenure just like teachers. Maybe we should be fighting for that as a result of this occurrence. That way future power hungry BOE members can't arbitrarily fire people without due process.

SCATS said...

To 3:43PM ~~ BITE YOUR TONGUE!!!!

Anonymous said...

So my question would be, if the "board has more info" then why was the vote 5-4 and not unnamimous.

SCATS said...

To 5:46PM ~~ Good question. Maybe Julia only shared it with her cronies ;) lol

As the plot thickens, her ankles disappear in the crapple ...

Anonymous said...

He deseerves an explaination; he then can decide if we need one from him!

SCATS said...

To 5:47AM ~~ You "deseerve" some coffee! Then YOU can explain to us ;)

Anonymous said...

@ SCATS 3:43, what is the meaning by "Bite your tongue"? Should it be taken literally?

Anonymous said...

Word has it that he had a strict rule not to discuss a players status on the team and lack of playing time with parents. This policy incurred Julia's rath when she found out there were no exceptions including board members.
A current board member told me that he remembers Julia bringing this to the attention of board members in executive session over a year ago. So it appears her move did not come out of the blue as some say. Hmm.

SCATS said...

To 2:14PM ~~ It's an expression used when someone thinks it's better to say nothing.

To 2:52PM ~~ Over a year ago, huh? So maybe she tried this previously, too??

Again, we are hearing that Executive Sessions are being used for inappropriate topics & discussions. On the bright side, Julia seems to be most adept at jumping in the crapple she creates. I'm starting to enjoy watching as her histrionics will ultimately bring her down.

I don't under all this. Why would the community continue to support Hueber? He wasnt even a good coach. He had a terrible repor with the kids and always blew it during sectionals. Why attack Julia? Greece your educational system is failing, shouldn't that ...for once...be your concern?

Signed: Sick of paying Catholic School Tuitions because I chose to educate my child!

SCATS said...

To 5:35AM ~~ Why not attack Julia??? She's been BOE Prez. for years!!! AND DURING HER TENURE AS PREZ, GREECE HAS SUNK EVEN LOWER!!!

WHERE is her PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY for this sad state of affairs?? In the midst of the educational ruin she has lorded over, SHE decides coaching is the place to scrutinize!?!? LMAO

SCATS said...

BTW, don't look now but the Catholic Schools are DISAPPEARING FAST!
