Another Vehicle Window Shot Out

390 North Near Lexington

13WHAM reports: "Police are investigating another report Thursday of a vehicle being shot at in Monroe County - this time on 390 North near Lexington Ave.

This is the tenth report of vehicle damage.

Since April, there have been nine incidents of damage which police believe to be caused by BBs or rocks being thrown.

Most have occurred on interstates 390 and 490.  One incident happened while a person was driving on Jefferson Road.

Investigators with the Monroe County Sheriff's Office said they believe the cases are all related.

A special task force including Monroe County investigators, NY State Troopers, Greece Police officers and FBI agents are investigating."

With this many shootings somebody probably knows what is going on Investigative work could solve this case. Of course Greece is involved so I guess that explains it.

While other town supervisors were down playing this as rocks from the road, Reilic was truthful and told people to be alert and avoid these areas if possible. Now that its expanded this far it is hard to avoid but at least he didn't sugar coat the situation.

I do not think anyone in authority said it was "shot out".

To 2:52AM ~~ Sheriff Patrick O’Flynn said, “If in fact it occurred in the way we looked at it, it may also include a moving vehicle.”

Please tell us HOW else it could happen if another moving vehicle was involved!

Thanks for highlighting my point! "It" in these statements means what?

And "include a moving vehicle" means that the unfound projectiles in 10 of 11 cases were fired from it, or was the stone kicked up by it?

To 5:31PM ~~ Incident # 12 happened this afternoon. That's three in two days. Most of these incidents happened in the area of 390 between 104 & 490. Don't you think the possibility ... the liklihood ... that ALL of these are considered to be "related" makes it pretty certain it is NOT from "kicked up stones"?? At this moment, NY State police are SEARCHING FOR ONE OR MORE SUSPECTS. They say they have the best leads yet.

Also, I heard someone from Ray Sands Glass on the radio today. He made the point that USUALLY "a kicked up stone" breaks a front windshield, not a passenger or rear window. It's time to acknowledge that SOMEONE IS AIMING SOME SORT OF FIREARM AT VEHICLES! It may be a BB or pellet gun, but it certainly isn't just a bunch of "kicked up stones" causing this damage.
