We're Almost To The End ...

I'm guessing that's how some parents might look too! LOL.

I just wanted to say that the teacher my child had this year was really great and we're going to miss her. She's very easy to talk to (and she even listens!) which is something I can't say about ANY teacher we've met so far in the GCSD. She's caring, easy going, shows compassion, and encourages my child to do their best yet indertsands that kids make mistakes. She's kept in contact with me throughout the school year and I truly believe she's made a difference in my child's life.

I know a lot of teachers in the district get a bad rap, understandably so, but I think it's important to remember that there are some really dedicated ones out there as well.

To 6:26PM ~~ I agree about how parents look by the end of the year!

I also agree about what you said about having had a great teacher this year! It's so sad that professionals like her are the exception in Greece, instead of the rule. Our district would be such a better place for our kids and their parents.

Yes the end is near and it can't come fast enough!!! So can anyone please explain to me what happened to the common sense, logic and intelligence in the decision making to let the Special Olympics hold a venue at Arcadia DURING SCHOOL HOURS???? I mean WHAT WAS THE DISTRICT THINKING???? Oh, that's right ... they weren't!! Is there a problem with it being held on a weekend??? Now what you have is over 200 bus drivers who already have a stressful job just dealing with John Q Public that are even more aggravated. Now they have to find other places to park their personal vehicles, try to move in and out of the bus lot with out hitting anyone because for some reason they are shutting down old school road from 9 to 9:30, the peak time that most of the buses come back, and of course the tax payer will have the attitude that they can just tromp around anywhere they want because they pay the taxes, not realizing just how dangerous the bus lot is. And to top it off there is going to be the worst traffic jam that has ever occurred on Latta Rd. So the result of that is it's going to cost the district money because the longer those buses sit in traffic the more money the drivers and attendants get paid. Thank you GCSD for setting your employees up for failure.
