13/13. Basically get my news from the Internet. Broadcast/Cable TV is a wasteland of misinformation, except for The Newshour.

To 6:42PM ~~ I get news from multiple sources. Perhaps I just don't pay attention to things that I don't care about ... like other state's politicians lol ;)

Some of this had nothing to do with the news, like figuring out which country has that decaying population pyramid...

Besides, what constitutes the "news" is itself a loaded question. What I want to be informed about may not matter one whit to you, and vice versa.

My child was recently quizzed with the following:

"Standing at a payphone, you are asked to deposit $0.65. What is the least number of coins that may be deposited, in order to add up to the desired amount without surpassing it?"

They answered "3".

When they got home, they shared this with me. I proudly commended them for their knowledge of both monetary denominations and math; and warned them that it is quite possible that their teacher will mark that as an "incorrect" answer.

Puzzled, they shared their approach with me: 1-nickle, 1-dime, 1-50-cent piece.

Laughing, I said, "payphones don't accept 50-cent pieces."

My child said, "What's a payphone?"

Btw: 12/13 for me. If my memory was better, I could tell you which one I missed, but I really don't care (and neither does anyone else, really) ;-)
