Who Will Replace Kirk Morris?

Anonymous said...

SCATS any word on who is going to replace Kirk Morris in the 4th ward of Greece?

To 1:27PM ~~ I've heard nothing. I suspect they will plug-in another "yes man" (or woman).

WHO ARE THE POSSIBILITIES?

Maybe you've heard nothing because the selection has not been made! The Republican committee meeting is not until Thursday.

SCATS said...

To 8:49AM ~~ That doesn't mean that names aren't being vetted ;)

Anonymous said...

Does it really make any difference? No! Because no matter who will not make a difference . It will be business as usual for the foreseeable future in this shanty town.

The political party motto for years is IF IT'S NOT BROKE, DON'T FIX IT ! It's worked before and it will work again and again and- ------------------------!

Kathryn Firkins is available.

OK all you people who post and have ideas submit your name. Don't just complain and take shots step up and put your name forward and truly work on solutions. Many are bold enough to share there ideas here, now is your chance to really do something. Anyone bold enough? Hmmm?

SCATS said...

To 1:54PM ~~ BITE YOUR TONGUE!! I'm hoping that "I am him" is permanently retired from the Town of Greece.

To 6:37PM ~~ Nice try but there's a little bit of reality in the way of your "bold idea." The candidates must reside in the 4th ward ;)

Scats, with all the big mouths in Greece no names have popped up? Come on I don't believe you. Surely that office will start to leak the names to see who is feasible or not, or do you believe that they will pick whomever they want?

Where oh where does Baby Antelli supposedly reside?

He has such an impressive Resume his Dada was able to get him on the Board of the Historical Society and SuperBill got him a job at the bus authority.

AND
He coaches basketball.

SCATS said...

To 10:31PM ~~ Of course they pick who they want. Otherwise, they would have let the voters decide.

Does Reilic have it in for Baxter?

He was less than generous when commenting on the crime reduction data Baxter released.

SCATS said...

To 2:50AM ~~ Well ... in reality the VIOLENT CRIME STATS SUCK!! Aren't they up about 20%??

Anonymous said...

That pick was a done deal long before the election. They will simply go thru the motions tomorrow night and make ther choice official.

Scats who ever will still have to run in November. Even if the Dems participate,it will not change a thing.

Another observation on your crime stats. That 20 % number is pretty much in line with urban sprawl taking place in Greece.

6:37 Would it surprise you that a few posters on this site have done just that? At least one high profile town resident who I know does occasionally post on this site, who has a message of change, tried. He put his name out for consideration but was rejected by those who count, the voters. I wouldn't be surprised if you were one of those voters that rejected his message and voted for the status quo and voted to reelect Auburger in 09.
You make it sound like an easy thing to do. Unfortunately this is not true especially in this resistant to change mentality that inhabit this town.
Sometimes this venue gives this person the only chance to advance his message albeit anonymously.

Firkins is already back. Relic called her in to help our new Tax Collector who was over his head and upside down his first day on the job.

2:50 Yes. The subject of PSC is a topic for discussion possibly as early as tomorrow.
If it happens, look for Baxter to move on or retire soon.
Many opportunities exist for him in the private sector.

SCATS said...

To 3:05PM ~~ A topic of discussion WHERE? There is no Town Board meeting posted for this week, or next!

SCATS said...

To 10:09AM ~~ Since no one else has bothered to say this, I will. It does NOT count as an attempt to make change if your party waits until a few months before elections to roll out their candidates, platforms, etc. The Republicans have already been working since the PREVIOUS ELECTION to establish name recognition with the voters, a very key element in the Town of Greece. I'd think the Dems would have learned that lesson when Maloney ran and was narrowly defeated, but apparently not.

Committe meeting!

The big difference between the two parties in Greece is the fact the the Reps have an ample supply of candidates. They are usually members of the planning board, zoning board and zoning board of- appeals. It is and will always be their feeder or " farm" system. They serve in these positions until their number is called.
On the other hand, the Dems are candidate bankrupt and are begging people to run right up to the last day to file petitions. Its that simple and is reality.
When you " earn" the looser label, have no money coupled with a clueless leadership lacking what it takes to win, the response is apparent as well as predictable.

Who will replace Capt. Kirk? Let's first examine some other appointments that have happened since the last election...

Rick Antelli's Co. Lej vacany was filled by Brian Marianetti, son of former MCWA Director and Greece Commish of Pubic Works Ed Marianetti. Brian was recently known to be employed by the Monroe Co. Law Dept. Is he still? Not sure. Haven't seen ANY coverage of this. It's all been found thru my own poking around. BTW... some irony to the similarity between "Marianetti" and "marionette", eh? Both are under control of a puppet master.

Manwhile, Antelli's son, Little Ricky Junior, was appointed to the Greece Planning Board. https://greeceny.gov/planning/planningboard

So who will replace Mr. Morris? Recent trends suggest some youngsta' of "noble blood" like Marionette and Little Ricky.

BTW, sources also tell me that Roger Boily was interested in filling the Co. Lej vacancy. The Conservative Party vetoed it though because he would have come without the puppet strings attached!

SCATS said...

To 9:01PM ~~ Yes, let nepotism reign, just like Lovely Warren's administration in the city ;)

Anonymous said...

9:01 My sources tell me Boily is in the mix for Relic's former Legistlative seat or the County Leg.
At any rate, the answers to all vacancies will be made known very shortly.
All these scenarios regarding Roger the Dodger make no sence as it is well known, he always hated attending meetings and was known to nod off at Town and school board meetings.
As for the Conservative party goes, Rodger is hated by Tom Cook because he tried unsuccessfully to fire Merritt Rahn in the mid 90's . Cook will opposes him for any political position he is interested in. The party bosses are. Aware of this fact.

Anonymous said...

Oh Gee,
I wonder how much it cost the Antelli Family to BUY Little Ricky the Planning Board seat?

Little Ricky is being LEGITIMIZED via Greece Historical Society just like his DaDa was with Greece Summerfest.

Now if he can just not drillble food during meetings he could be a rising star with all the secrets Big Rick knows.

Town of GREASE is a whole new thing.

Anonymous said...

5:57 Nothing " new" here. The only thing new since the last election is the fact that the County has more influence in what takes place in Greece.
Giving the devil his due. That's one thing we can thank Auggie for. He consistently resisted county influence in favor of his autocratic methodology . Were we better off?
Arguments could be made in either case. In my opinion, not knowing the influence of the county would impact Greece over eight years, I would vote No. We will have wait to see what Reilich brings to the table and from where.

Anonymous said...

The head of school security is running all over town saying he has it locked up.

SCATS said...

To 9:36AM ~~ So far, Reilich hasn't been any more forthcoming than his predecessor from what I've seen. In fact, it sounds as if he has continued on with some specific spats Auggie had with specific residents. You can change the name, but the flavor remains with a bad after-taste.

Anonymous said...

Chatterton wants to be a council person? Seriously? He has always been non political.

Anonymous said...

Rumor has it that Randy Jenson will be the next guy for the fourth ward. This is a obvious choice as he has ties to Joe Robach

SCATS said...

To 5:12PM ~~ You are funny!!!!

Anonymous said...

Did Relic hire his secretary at town hall? Is her lose cannon of a son officially back to work at GPD?

Anonymous said...

12:22pm It wasn't ever his secretary. She was a bookkeeper at GOP headquarters and no she is not at the Town.

Anonymous said...

Dave Garretson would like to serve the town. It would be the perfect time to show a bipartisan spirit

Anonymous said...

You heard it first on SCATS...

GPD top cop Jimmy O'Leary is the next gop flunky on the town bored.

He got pushed out of the Greece girl's soccer club and needs a new hobby.

Plus, he's best buds with our new money collector so he's a shoo-in for the gig.

Jimmy's been spreadin' the word and anyone who expressed interest has been "moved" outta the way.

The powers that be met last night to lock it all in.

SCATS said...

To 7:36AM ~~ PLEASE TELL ME IT AIN'T SO!!!

Anonymous said...

Right again! NOT! This is getting as reliable as the D&C!

SCATS said...

To 10:10PM ~~ My remark was intended to be oozing great sarcasm, capisce?

Anonymous said...

Dave Garretson could care less about serving the town. What has he done? Nothing. His wife is more active in local activities that help people.

Dave just complains and runs crappy losing democratic political campaigns.
