Good riddance in both cases. This will finally rid the district of the few remaining employees from the Walts-Keller- Cogan era..

Wow! Maybe with Dr. D, or as many parents know her in many local school districts, Dr. Devastation, children with medical conditions will actually get the services they need and their parents can stop homeschooling them and stop battling the GCSD (and the other 8 districts she destroyed). This woman has caused so much chaos in so many families lives. Like it's not bad enough dealing with having a child who is chronically ill or medically complex and is recognized as such by dozens of specialists... then you had this woman who didn't want to acknowledge that and who decided to deny these children the right to an education with the proper medical accommodations in place under the ADA. She is pure evil and never had the best interest of these hundreds of children in mind. So many parents have been forced to homeschool their children to be able to properly accommodate them at home because the battle with the GCSD was just absolutely exhausting. Even if you legally fought the district and finally got them to agree to a 504 Plan, getting them to implement it was a whole new battle. Let's just hope that her replacement will be better (fingers and toes crossed). Though, I have to admit I am not so sure many parents in this position would jump right back in with the mess of the implementation of the CCLS, being that NYS has now become the poster child across the nation for how NOT TO IMPLEMENT THE COMMON CORE.

To 1:11AM ~~ Please know that you are not alone! I've received DOZENS of complaints about the sort of situation you described from Greece parents over the last couple of years. Looks like we need another HUGE shake-up/wake-up call on the legal side to get things working again. It pains me to hear that district CUSTOMERS are treated so poorly!

This just made my day! Good riddance. We need someone honest that isn't on the take and can actually provide real suggestions to accommodate disabled children. Rather than spend her time using lies to deny services.
