SCATS ~~ How can a brand spanking new establishment & building be lacking in so many "facilities" that they were able to get a Certificate of Occupancy??

Certificate of Occupancy is entirely different from the operating certificate the County Health Department Issues.

C of O merely indicates the building is structurally sound and fit for habitation. It is issued by the Town Building Dept, a/k/a Louie Baby's Munchkins.

To 1:09AM ~~ So you can get a C of O for a restaurant that has inaccessible handwashing facilities!??!!

Why hasn't this joint been closed if there's 11 violations? Is it safe to eat there? I wouldn't risk it.

To 1:29AM ~~ Great question. I've wondered that about other restaurants, some with even more violations. How bad does it have to be to be closed?

Hello everyone. My name is Al Preston and I am the new General Manager at Bar Louie Greece. We did have a leadership change after the opening and I am excited to be a part of this community. We did have some issues two months ago but it is important to note that on the follow up inspection shortly after we had fixed all of the issues. I understand the concern, however these issues were taken care of swiftly, as stated on our next report.Feel free to contact me personaly at apreston@blro.net if you have any questions.

Dear Al,

How long ago were you reinspected? Were there ANY remaining infractions at that time?

I ate at your bar a few weeks ago. I was taken aback at a $10 price tag for a lousy margarita and that was AFTER waiting 45+ minutes for a table when many had "reserved" signs on them. Guess what? Those "reserved" tables are where people waiting for tables were eventually seated!!

Is that how you make money in your bar? You get people to buy over-priced drinks while waiting for a table that's already available ...?

C'mon Scats, you could at least complain about the low level lighting, the temperature, the difficulty in parking. Was there anything you liked about the place or do you just want to complain about everything in Greece?

To 7:41PM ~~ I got LUCKY on parking the night I was there. Others in my group didn't do as well. Sadly, that had nothing to do with this establishment ... which I suspect will be history within 18 months.
