Greece Cops Searching Greece Ridge Fire Dept

SEARCH WARRANT ISSUED
FOR 1978 HOLIDAY INN ARSON FIRE

13WHAM ~~ Greece Police Department executed a search warrant Thursday morning and is the lead agency in the investigation and is being assisted by the ATF, FBI, New York State Police, and the Monroe County District Attorney's office.

The search started 9:30 a.m. and police expect it to take about four hours. That could go longer depending on what the agencies find.

The office of Fire Chief Bud Phillips and other buildings on the fire department's property are being included in the search.

SCATS ~~~ Pssst! Bud is probably over at Panera keeping his chair warm.

Police blotter in paper today. There was an armed robbery last week at the Radio Shack at the old Northgate now Walmart Plaza on Dewey.
A person was assaulted last week by 3 unknown males on the "bike path" at English Rd.People should know the areas to avoid. That supposed bike path is one of them.
Is there a section of the police website that cites these crimes?

The question in my mind is how they convinced a Judge to issue such a broad based premisis search warrant in the first place. At the minimum, they would have had to reveal what they expected to find as result of wide ranging warrant for that entire location. The search warrant application
must contain specific details to be valid and granted. Sounds like a fishing expedition to me.
Perhaps they expect to find a signed confession from Bud in his top left desk drawer in his office.due to his ALLEDGED medical problems to clear his conscience . Or maybe he saved the invoice for the non detectable accelerant that the expert hired by Riley from the Big Apple said was used to start the fire. How stupid would someone have to be not to destroy such a document if it actually existed.

To 11:54AM ~~ Or maybe they were looking for evidence related to the OTHER fires that happened near the Holiday Inn ... they are being reinvestigated, too.

Greece already had a "bad cop" running things for years. Now it's the fire chief that's next in line to go down. When will we get to the top of the town's troubles and deal with the corrupted local government?

Don't be shocked if ultimate charges filed against BP have nothing to do with the Holiday Inn. There's been lots of other crap over the years.. I've been told that the Holiday Inn investigation has led to a Pandora's box of similarities with this individual. Chase Pitkin fire at Ridgemont?? Yep, he "discovered" it. Apartment building next to the firehouse?? Hmmm, don't know but it was torn down while the fire was still burning!!!

What makes you think the fire chief is the next to go down.First he has to guilty , Also, you are forgetting who the lead agency in this latest investigation, Most of them hadn't been born when this fire took place. Add to that they couldn't find the side if a barn if it fell on them and you have a cold case turning into a glacier.

Al Capone was sent to prison in 1931 for tax evasion, not for murder, racketeering, gambling, prostitution, etc...it was the one solid thing the government could nail him with. Likewise, maybe the Feds won't find anything related to the Holiday Inn, but maybe there's something else they found...
