The Teamsters will intervene.

Kinda off tpoic, but if you want to talk about scheduling issues, ask around about the student scheduling problems going on at Odyssey. Seniors, yes seniors, are having their schedules changed as late as today and tomorrow. What happens if the scheduling incompetence causes someone to not graduate...bring on the lawyers! Also you can see long lines of Odyssey parents at Wal-mart today, grumbling that they need to return some supplies and buy others since little Derek and Shawna's classes have magically changed...

My understanding is that the Teamsters are going along to get along. Not really fighting much for the membership.

We've had to write a letter now (which I am sure will be weeks before looked at) to get our children's bus stop switched back to its original assignment after the bus driver and aide complained about the safety issue of a 3 way intersection. Well, guess what? The transportation dept moved their bus stop BACK to the dangerous 3 way intersection for this year and said it was due to going back to centralized busing. However, when I pointed out that it had been moved years ago due to a safety concern (and a child almost being struck by a car that couldn't see the bus in the T-intersection and the child had to be crossed away from the bus while other kids were being crossed across the front of the bus), they said there was NO NOTE OF IT on file! Really? Trust me, I am not a lazy parent who doesn't want to walk my children one house away, AND I am all for cutting expenses as a tax payer by having centralized busing, but how did they move this bus stop and not have notes of it when their were formal complaints filed by the aide and driver years ago? Safety must come first! So, unless the bus driver can veer off-route until dispatch tells him officially, we will playing frogger dangerously to get to and from the school bus safely.

It's district wide with the schedules my child had an elective in the schedule but no PE and was told they needed to drop the elective to make it fit.

To 7:58PM ~~ So typical of GCSD's inability to handle the most basic of problems. Let us know how this turns out.

To 8:11PM ~~ Your issue & 7:58's are reasons why Greece parents literally COUNT THE DAYS UNTIL GRADUATION.

Superintendent pushed this new schedule on the schools from her ivory towers. Nice job. All the suits know better.

7:58 have to love that routing software that doesn't keep the changes from year to year or the annotations of dangerous stops either money spent wasted or poor training for users. Once deemed a dangerous spot it should be reflected in the software...so much wasted time and energy in this district.

To 7:05AM ~~ You are absolutely correct! A local stop deemed unsafe in the 1990's gets assigned as a stop EVERY September! I sometimes think they do this stuff just to pxss off parents.
