The school district has over 11,000 thousand students and 18 different buildings. FBI standards state for adequate police staffing you need 1 officer for every 1,000 in population. How will this one officer cover the Greece School District. Someone must be using some NEW math that I have never seen before. If you look at past police staffing Greece has had 12 part time Resource Officers.

Math is one thing - budget is another.

It's all part of the vast illusion Greece Central calls education.

On the plus side, she is better looking than most SRO critters.

This job will keep her from annoying motorists and telling people she can't help them because it's a Civil Matter.

THe superintendent is all about illusion. If she makes it look like she is doing all sorts of things to prevent bullying in the schools nobody will notice how she bullies her own employees. If she gets an officer in the building then the community will think she cares and that the students are safe. If we push kids through to graduate even if they don't have the grades or the skills to earn a diploma people will think that she has improved the district. If the board acts like everything is running smoothly with Julia at the helm then they don't look like fools for renewing the supers contract. If nobody on the board has the guts to challenge Julia then the same crap will continue to happen and before you know it her up and coming precious graduate will be running the district. After all he already thinks he and mom do. But as long as the smoke and mirrors continue people will continue to buy in to the false perception that everything is Great!

On another off topic subject, why did it take GPD an entire year to notify neighbors in the 14616 zip area of a registered sex offender?
