The "Best" Job In GCSD

Scats, I want to be Julia's Mole/Board Clerk. She gets paid $50,000 with no experience, she gets to make mistakes with no repercousions and now she gets to come and go as she pleases. And the biggest bonus for spying and reporting on everyone at District Offices conversations and moves she gets to bring a dog to work. I have worked in this district a long time but I have never seen anything like the crap this woman is pulling. She comes into the office anywhere between 9:00 am - 10:00 am and on Friday she left at 2:00 pm her dog in tow. Apparently there wasn't anyone good at DO to spy on. A dog, really a dog? I guess it pays to be friends or family of Julia, you get a job and you get to do what you want whether you can do the work or not and in this case it's not.   8/17/2013 8:15 PM

I certainly hope this person isn't a teacher because their spelling and grammar is much to be desired. Another fine example of GCSD.

wh crs abt splng. we al txt. we could lv out vwls stl undrstnd meaning.

Now back to conventional spelling. Phew! I do use correct spelling and grammar. But let's not shift the focus from the dysfunction that is Greece. A dog at work? Unless it is a certified service animal it should not be in that office. Are they trying to make her seem quaint and homespun? With all that carpet up there they might have to bomb for fleas. You know the old saying about lying down with dogs? And I doubt that the original poster was a teacher since they have no more inside dirt on district office than the rest of us. The tipster could be anyone who works up there or a friend of a staff member. Anyway, thanks for the tip. It's good to know that Greece central could even be more dysfunctional than it was last year. And they said it couldn't get worse.

It's too bad about the spelling and the grammar but the real point is why is this allowed to go on? I'm sure the people that work at district office and see this behavior on a daily basis are upset with it. I'm sure it's tough enough to work at DO but then to feel like you're being spied oburns then to have to tolerate someone not having to work the hours everyone else have to follow and get other perks has got to be hard to take.

Maybe it was a service dog, it's already been established that the new clerk isn't the brightest bulb in the bunch,so maybe she needs assistance. The dog would probably make fewer mistakes then she does. Or maybe it was a hound dog and was helping her sniff out more dirt on the DO staff that she can share with Julia.

No one knows why she left, maybe she had an apt. .. She doesn't have to tell nosey co workers why she was leaving. If she had permission to leave from her boss then she had every right. As for the dog, maybe it is a service dog, I have seen service dogs in the building before. The poster seems like he or she has a beef with this particular employee. Most likely the same poster that has posted before about her. Perhaps an employee scorned .. Maybe the individual who's job she took over for? As far as spying it seems o me his individual posting goes to great lengths to do the same spying on her. Does she have her other admin friends watching her every move and report back to her. The grunt workers up there certainly aren't paying attention to detail of this employees every move. Everyone should just worry about there own jobs and stop with the drama.

To 11:09AM ~~ Sorry, but I disagree with your many "suspicions". Any "drama" here was created by Julia who finangled this woman into this job without going through postings, etc. In other words, there was NOTHING transparent about it since it was all handled on the QT.

FYI, the new clerk came from a job at Pine Brook. No one has mentioned her having a dog at work ... until now, several weeks into her new position. The previous clerk moved into a new position working for Babs. So, there's no scorned employee here, either.

Same old crap. This is nothing new in GCSD. The friends and family get hired and become little spies for the district. It gone on for years in Greece. The same goes for the Town jobs.

She already had the position with the superintendent, she was doing both board clerk and superintendent until Julia hired the new one.

As anyone who has ever had to work with the new BOE clerk can tell you (and I did work with her), she has always felt she was a queen and could do as she pleased. She had the PB principal in her pocket. Surprised that the former BOE clerk backed her for the job, as she had many tales to tell about her.

The former clerk had nothing to do with her hiring, it was all done by the board with no input from anyone else. The superintendent didn't even have input into the decision. This was Julia all the way.
