Which one is going to hire Chatterton for Knaak’s job? What is wrong with the district for even considering this guy, we can’t find a qualified person?

Auberger will be available come January

To 10:31AM ~~ OMG!? SERIOUSLY??? The last thing GCSD needs is to have Mr. Cocky running "security." If what you contend is true, then my bet is that Moscato (ex-cop) is his cheer-leader a la Oberg.

To 10:49AM ~~ BITE YOUR TONGUE!!

You need to add one more to the list, Ferington. Oberg, no shot, McCabe, no shot. it will be between the other two. Oberg will make his first political move
by forming an alliance with McCabe and back Julia for prez if she agrees to support McCabe for VP. With Obergs election, this will create the first rift on the board since he left. I knew he had an agenda else why would he want to be there in an impotent role. Ferington would be a breath of fresh air and is more than capable of doing the job than Julia ever was. Dave is a real conscientious
straight shooter who will return dignity and prestige to the office of President. Julia will listen to Oberg if reelected while Ferington is unreachable by Mr Oberg and Frank knows that. So if he pulls this off, Frank would control three votes, needing only two more to become part of a new
majority in his first month without being the president. Shades of his political
hero, Roger Boily, who used the same back room tactics to gain the political advantage. Watch and observe Oberg's attempt to settle some old scores when he left the board a frustrated unhappy man who outwardly vowed to get even with
those remaining board members that he felt torpedoed him as president. It could prove interesting if not down right entertaining at times. Trust me, gone are the days of the 15 minute meetings with Frank rocking the boat in what used to be the SEA of TRANQUILITY otherwise known as the board room.

To 12:44PM ~~ While your theories might be accurate, I can't stand the idea of Ferington as Prez. His milquetoast personality and union-connections will create loads of wasted time at BOE meetings, and that will serve to annoy Oberg who enjoys being in bed by 10PM ... sharp!

Dave isn't capable of keeping this group of malcontents on-track.

Oberg NEVER FORGETS when he has a score to settle ;)

When are you boo birds going to get it through your heads that the board Prez or the board hires no one except the super. And another thing, Scats, Joe would be the last person to make that kind of recommendation. If you knew what you were talking about, Frank Oberg would be the last person that Joe would talk to on any and all subjects. While you're at it, after panning the aforementioned
quartet, give us your pick from the remaining five. You must have a choice. Please tell us who you feel would keep this group together.

SCATS - I agree with your assessment. Dave is a nice guy...which is precisely why he won't make a good President in this district with these pirhana. And you are wise to remind all of his union connections. He was a building representative when teaching at Apollo and ALWAYS advocated for the employee over the students.

To 5:44PM ~~ Oh c'mon!! The BOE, and most especially Prez. Julia has a lot of influence on the Supt. and most especially so these days with all of the scandals Babs is trying to keep a lid on.

Oberg isn't "the last person that Joe would talk to ..." SCATS is ... probably followed by Hubbard ;)

Why are you limiting my "choice' to the remaining five?? You do realize that's really no choice at all, right? I'll go with Mr. Chump Change, realizing he's the devil upfront.

Anonymous said...

So now you are telling us you are in reality THE DEVIL'S ADVOCATE? I love it. LMAO!!

I got a scoop for you, the devil is in the details and your choice hasn't got a chance, nor does he want the job. Julia probably has the votes now that she drank Oberg's kool aid. However, she will not win by acclamation this time. She will have an opponent as I see it now. This woman will make a deal with the Devil (Oberger) to continue her power trip.

I find this most amusing because she was one of Frank's targets when he vowed to get even. I guess it is really true about politics and strange bed-fellows. I also consider this kind of conduct completely immature considering it's all about a ridiculous non=paid position. I sometimes wonder what goes through the head of some of these people when they run for the BOE in the first place then do squat and scheme behind each others backs to gain some kind of advantage. FOR WHAT REASON totally escapes rational thinking.

To 7:04PM ~~ Pssst! I've ALWAYS BEEN a devil's advocate, going back to my teens.

I never said Frankie boy would win. I just said I'd hold my nose and let him "lead" knowing full well the others are worse.

I agree with your last paragraph, but then it occurs to me that we are THE DYSFUNCTION JUNCTION. Question answered ;)

Scats your 7:04 post speaks reams about the driving force behind this Blog.

Sorry, Scats, my last post was in response to your 7:47 comment.

Why not wait until tomorrow night and see what happens

SCATS said...

To 10:14AM/10:58AM ~~ Really? Why not share with us all what you think that is?? I know I already have and it's not all that ;)

To 11AM ~~ Such a novel thought! I planned on it lol

SCATS said...

BTW, 11AM ~~ I know you'd like to convey the idea that it's unimportant or that no one cares, but the reality is that since posting this thread yesterday, well over 100 hundred people have read it. Not bad at all for one of the typically slower days of the week lol

Please, PLEASE oh PLEASE GOD let that Frank OBurp guy get the job.

I don't think I can take another year of seeing the TammyFay look alike on the SCATS Blog.

Good God woman, hang your head in shame behind a curtain, you're PresiDUNCE of the BOE and the only job your kid could get after Special Tutoring is substitute school janitor. You shouldn't show your face in Walmart.

SCATS said...

To 12:42PM ~~ You make an excellent point! One I hadn't thought of ... ;)

To 7:04. Frank's vendetta is right on target if what you say is true about Ferington who was high on his hit list. That would make it one down and probably three to go including Blondie. She doesn't realize it but Oberg is setting her up for the kill in the near future by replacing Ferington with McCabe as her VP. This way Frank will have an ear in the room when that duo meets in private on agenda items and employee matters with the Super. This will give Frank an edge during the public meetings to embarrass her, a skill he has honed and used in the past. She will never see it coming when he lowers the boom on this incredibly naive woman.

SCATS said...

To 1:05PM ~~ As far as I am aware, any BOE member can sit in on the agenda setting meetings. Since Oberg is retired, he's got the time ...

Anonymous said...

Scats not so. It's my understanding that each month, a different board member attends this meeting making three. If two more attend, that would make it five and a quorum recuiring an open meeting be declared. If they did that you would have a baby denouncing back room deals being made. In fact SED Law states that anytime a quorum of the board exists even at a social function, discussing board or district business at that time, Is illegal and they could be removed from the board by the Commissioner.

SCATS said...

To 2:24PM ~~ I am well aware of what constitutes a quorum. The point is that most BOE members can't attend because these meetings are held during the day. Oberg CAN attend. By your own admission as many as FOUR CAN ATTEND, instead of the usual 1-2. It used to be that the Prez & VP attended. As for any of us finding out if they are doing something "illegal" what difference would it make IF WE COULD FIND OUT!? They openly break laws & their own rules routinely! And we've been excluded from attending these meetings.

How does the Town Board get away with having them all attend? I believe they made their meetings OPEN ... a novel idea ;)

I heard the same story about Oberg and Julia. The story goes that shortly after the May election, Oberg approached her with his plan. If she agreed to dump Ferington as VP in favor of McCabe, he would support her reelection bid. Supposedly she agreed and without telling Ferington, she struck the deal
effectively throwing Dave under the bus. The story goes on saying that Ferington had told Julia he would like to run for president months ago. At the time she said she had had enough and would not run. What or who changed her mind?.

Apparently loyalties run thin in this game of intrigue called the Greece Central School District Board of Education membership. SICK,

all this speculation is useless. Oberg will not be Prez. Julia will be prez again with Oberg's man Mc Cabe as VP. you can take that to the bank so get used to having hot lips board president again for another year. Have fun you malcontents as you will her to kick around for another year
By the way Scats, you would be the last person that Frank would welcome an endorsement from in any form what so ever. He hates this site and you know it as well.

I think Greece is a great place to live and raise a family. We have a town supervisor who really, really likes to get to know his constituents, the nations finest police department led by the best and brightest, and a school district that makes any inner-city school envious. The future looks even brighter for the town and school district with the upcoming elections, you are all way to critical :)

To 3:09PM ~~ It's ALL about power & control which drive the
D-Y-S-F-U-N-C-T-I-O-N!!

To 4:02PM ~~ Yes, I'm aware of Frank & his comparison of this BLOG to the KKK ... which never made any sense. If only you knew how cozy he was with this BLOG during a portion of his time on the BOE. You'd be shocked ;)

To 7:11PM ~~ Your cup of Kool-Aid needs refreshing. May I?

Forget the Kool-Aid! I want some of what that poster is smoking!!

predicted results of the board election

Julia board president Vote. 9-0

McCabe VP. Vote. 9-0

We must prepair for another year of Julia calling the shot s due to the other 8 letting her do all their thinking. But wait I forgot about Oberg he will break that mold as no one tells Oberg how to think and conduct himself at the meetings based on his past time on the board. The 15 minute meetings will become a distant memory with Frank back in the mix.

I was right about the comment directly above me saying "I was right. (Really, was it THAT hard to figure out?)
