Have Your Kids Read The Classic, "The Great Gypsy"?

How about something authored by Emily Bonte or George Ornell?

The Hempstead Public Schools Summer Reading List contains more than 30 errors, according to New York magazine.

SCATS ~~ With 30 errors, this gives GCSD something to aspire to!

This is unbelievable!! I wonder who typed up this list -- and how in the world did it go so wrong? Good God.

What do you expect from Hempstead?

And exactly what does that mean? That schools and the people within them shouldn't be accountable for accuracy simply because they are impoverished? The professionals within a school system certainly should be held to a standard of SOME description.

Actually, on closer analysis my guess is that this was completed with dictation software and not proofread -- which doesn't make it better, but it does make it less egregious.

To 10:08PM ~~ In over 20 yrs. of district watching, I've yet to see Greece Central "professionals" ever held to any standard! If it's not in the contract, it won't happen.

SCATS: Don't look now, but the NYSED mandated APPR will do just that. Hang on, it's coming.

To 12:32PM ~~ I've heard it ALL before. I'll believe it when I see it in place and working without the dysfunction various unions will likely create as a response to ensure it fails.
