To insure a proper outcome, YES voters and teachers are encouraged to vote on Wednesday. Teachers who are absent due to stress issues are encouraged to stay home and rest up.

To 6:23AM ~~ I suspect they already DO stay home ... when they aren't shopping at the mall ... or running in the Boston marathon ;)

10am. Paddy Hill. Less than 25 votes thus far.

To 10:45AM ~~ That's what we like to see! Nearly total apathy! TY for the info :)

It would appear that folks don't have a big problem with the budget proposals. Hardly anyone came out to the budget presentations in the past few weeks. That's usually a sign that there is not much opposition. When it has been an issue, people came out in droves. I predict a low turnout ( as usual) and an easy pass.

To 2:09PM ~~ Please tell me what difference it would make IF THE PUBLIC DID HAVE A BIG PROBLEM WITH THE BUDGET??? The last time we voted a VERY LOUD "NO," Mr. "Chump Change" Oberg made us bend over & grab our ankles anyway.

Scats, TOO LATE,!! Your declaration of not posting names of write in candidates is a joke. As I pointed out in a previous post, your attempt to smear Frank
Oberg afforded him the very thing you say you want to avoid. As a result, Oberg will be the clear winner of the 3rd seat. I noticed that thread has been taken down as I think you realize your mistake. Your evisceration of Oberg was worth untold capital in advertising on Frank's behalf and he will owe you a huge debt of gratitude for helping him win. DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH WAITING FOR OBERG SENDING YOU A THANK YOU NOTE.

On the bright side for you, you will now have Oberg to demonize instead of Julia. That will be a refreshing change. The only thing you know concerning THE FACTS is how to spell the words, By the way, Julia unknowingly made that mistake. However, let me remind you of the worst case of that violation by a BOE in this case happened in 04. The Phelan controlled board rode up and down neighborhoods in a donated RV ringing bells and PA system urging voters to support the budget. Julia's comment was due
to lack of knowledge. Whereas the Walts - Phelan safari was done knowing that it broke SED regulations. Which of these constituted the worst abuse of power.

Anybody else hear that the often absent and intolerably inadequate "Head of Insecurity" Mr. Ed Knaack was fired for next year? That ought to free up $100,000 for some extra security staff!!

SCATS said...

To 7:50PM ~~ How do you "fire" someone in advance? Was he working under contract & the contract won't get renewed?

SCATS said...

To 3:49PM ~~ I bet you enter the room sideways to accomodate that GIANT chip on your shoulder, right?

Show mw what I said that "attempted to smear Frank Oberg?" I pointed out SPECIFICS FROM HIS TRACK RECORD!! I don't have to smear Mr. Chump Change. He's quite able by himself!

I did NOT remove any other thread as you keep claiming I've done. Your emotional reactivity clouds your ability to see ... think ...

Anyway Joe, your animosity shows you for who you really are, just as Oberg's does for him. Just beneath the surface there seems to be a lot of rage waiting to be unleashed ... something you two have in common.

I heard he resigned and has another job, not sure how you call that being fired.

To 10:33PM ~~ Well, Steve Achramovitch "retired" when he knew the BOE wasn't renewing his contract. I called it getting fired, which he was. But in this case, unless Knaack was under contract, I don't know how you could fire him ahead of time.

I think in his position it's a year to year deal. The District finally figured out he was worthless after an audit by his buds from RPD pointed out that there is no Security at GCSD. It seems that old, overweight, medically incapable, miserable retirees can't perform the duties required by NYS DOJ. They're great for potty escorts, mail delivery, and making sure that the cell phones left home, that are brought in to school by parents get delivered into classrooms to the students!
How about all the exterior doors propped open at Arcadia all day today? Didn't we just pay for a new secure entry system in all our schools?
