SHAME on GREECE PTA!!

Why cancel Candidate's Night?

Reschedule it for 2-3 weeks from now!

Allow interested write-in candidates to attend AND participate!!

That was done in the past!!

Write-ins should be given an opportunity to be heard!!

Recycled Candidates Provide Voters With NO Choice!

SCATS ~~ Obviously, Greece PTA has become politically entangled by denying write-ins an opportunity to allow the community to get to know them before the election!

This is NOT your role, PTA!

SCATS, you could provide an online "candidates forum", a series of invited guest posts one by each candidate, with discussion in the comments. Boldly do what the PTA won't.

To 10:05AM ~~ As always, I'll gladly post for any candidate who wants to write about what they bring to the job. I can't individually invite people I don't know how to contact directly. I'm pretty sure Ms. O'Toole wouldn't feel a need to participate anyway.

The PTA candadates night was always a sham. Questions were prepared by their
group and leaked to their choices. Years back, A former board member told me he
watched in amazement as the person next to him, read from a prepared statement regarding a question pulled from the box by the moderator. PTA is a joke in its present form and should be unchartered for their past and present political involvement contrary to their charter

To 1:33PM ~~ Yup, you are so right! They should be tossed out for their politics among other things. They certainly aren't there to help parents!!!

Pssst. Hey Scats. You may have noticed a new website posted by the school district today. Might I point out a few things. 1) Who paid for it, and how much did it cost? I think someone should foil that information - quickly. 2) Why are there only pics of Babs on there? Is this a company, or school district? Is this an ego booster for the super? Sure looks like it. Odd how she appears so "connected" when in fact she can never be found. Why are we paying thousands for an unnecessary website? Could those funds have gone toward...you know...education? Seriously. Someone needs to foil this info. I have a feeling the cat feces are about to hit the fan.

The PTA's I've been involved with have all been the same. A way to keep parents busy somewhere that won't bother the administration. The biggest thing I ever accomplished while a PTA president was to get new playground equipment for the school. And for even that, the administration made me jump through so many hoops I lost count. What a joke PTA is!

To 12:59PM ~~ While I'm sure the kids enjoy the playground equipment, did you EVER ASK WHY it was up to PTA to provide that? In reality, Greece's PTAs allow themselves to be used to support the dysfunction of a school district that RELIES UPON OUTSIDERS TO SUPPLEMENT THEIR INADEQUATE BUDGET! If the budget were PROPERLY PREPARED, Greece kids would have textbooks, athletic equipment, playgrounds, etc. INCLUDED in the budget!!!

But because so many do-good types rally around the dysfunction of the administration & BOE, what's broken in GCSD will NEVER get fixed.

12:59 - As a past PTA president, you *should* know that not only is buying playground equipment an activity that is highly discouraged at the council, regional, state and national levels, but that you have also opened yourself and the rest of the PTA board that was in place at the time of voting and purchase of said equipment up to liability if anyone using the equipment sustains an injury and decides to file a lawsuit.

To 5:11PM ~~ Discouraged by Greece PTA at all? HELL NO!! They even buy textbooks, but donate them to the library to circumvent the rules.
