Julia Plants New Mole in District Office

AnonymousAnonymous said...

Well I listened to the board meeting this evening and Julia and her group of witches got their way. They got rid of the current clerk and replaced her with one of their PTA buddies. Now she has a mole at district office who can spy on everyone and report back. Be on alert D/O employees keep it all on the down low there's going to be a mole in your presence. Of course you'll always know where she is because she has Voice that will grate on you. One can only imagine what there going to pay her can't wait for the minutes to come out. Good luck board you have a clerk with no district office experience and I'll bet you've pissed off the person you want to train her.    2/26/2013 8:58 PM

SCATS ~~ It's good to know that despite conducting two nationwide searches for a Supt. that we then "discovered" right in our backyard (imagine that!!) that other positions are still filled through the good old boy (or old hag?) network! Way to go Greece BOE!

The way this district is going, I think it's high time Hangover Henley gets a promotion. He too has no experience but kissed the right butts to get ahead. The favoritism and back door dealings of Babs and the board rival the Waltz era. Results are inflated, moral is slipping, leadership is lacking and our tax dollars are flowing like water. Just how many administrator positions have been added on Barb and Julia's watch? Where are the old Greece watchdogs to challenge them?

To 9:24PM ~~ They "retired." It's pretty much just SCATS ... and folks like you ;)

I agree...what is with all the new administrative positions that seem to be popping up lately?? At the lastmeeting I heard a Turn Around Principal was hired, whatever that is. tonight I heard a woman speaking that said she was the PPS director, not really sure what that is either, I am beginning to believe that they are coming up with crafty names for these administrative positions just to confuse people as to how many they are sneaking in and hiring. Another recent title I heard being thrown around as a recent addition was a data coordinator. All these NEW positions seem to be a little top heavy, the same as during the former administration of years ago. The fact that it seems that if you are in Babs and the Boards good graces you too will eventually get your turn at a brand spanking new made up position. I think the Henley idea could come to be, seeing he did do the board Prez a solid by giving her son free one one one tutoring like was previously posted here. Your pretty creative SCATS, what position do you think will be created for the Rising Star? What position does being a Social Studies director/ butt kisser really qualify him for.

To 10:14PM ~~ I suspect that he will go from his "interim" position heading up tech to being the top dog. He'll look good in a tinfoil hat. It goes well with that pic he took off FB ;) lol

This little move Julia and her gang of witches pulled off will cost the district as pretty penny. In the summer Bab's combined the clerk job and her assist position into one. These are the two top paying clerical positions in the district. You had one person doing both jobs and from all appparences doing it well. But it must be she didn't have the pizza hot enough or the right cookies for their behind closed door meetings. Now the group has their own person back as clerk. Watch people this one will count the number of cups of coffee you've and how times you went to the bathroom, she'll make it into a bar graph and report it back to her buddies the PTA witches on the board. Nice to have friends in "high" places you get a good paying job to spy on everyone else. Good district office.

While I understand the sentiment, let's refrain from using the reference to women wearing pointy black hats. It gives Halloween a bad image ;) lol

Wow! The post from anonymous about the Board Clerk job shows the depth of meanness that people will sink to when they don’t have to leave their name. You Mr. or Mrs. Anonymous have NO GUTS and obviously what you wrote must be very self-serving. Therefore, let me straighten this out and I’ll leave my name and number to anyone who wants to debate this issue. I think it’s imperative that someone who knows Ann (the lady that will now be starting the clerk’s job), speak up. To all those who don’t know Ann I’ll tell you that she has to be one of the hardest working people in the district. Money has never been an issue with Ann because she has worked hours beyond her duties without ever expecting extra pay. She does the work of two people and I’ll bet that they will miss her tremendously when she changes jobs. I can’t think of another person in the district that could be trusted more to hold a job that requires security to guard school board information around the district. Ann is an exceptionally honorable person also and to say that the board will have a spy is not only vastly wrong but also cruel beyond words, hurtful, and shows a lack of decency on the part of the anonymous writer who posted it. Buck up Citizen, have the guts to sign your poison pen notes or keep your comments to yourself. You must be very jealous aren’t you to have written this trash. Some of them are still active and not "retired."

It is sad enough that Greece is starting to resemble the city more and more with the number of city students attending illegally due to the fact that the process they have in place for all those fake shared housings and homless scams is a joke. But now it seems all we do is hire former City School District employees. I can't help but notice that all the recently hired administrators that have been announced at the board meetings are from the city, I think I counted at least 3 in the past few months. I did miss listening to a meeting so there may be more. Why in the world would we be trying so hard to emulate a district that is in worse shape than we are??? How about we try hiring some people on their actual skill set and not just because they are from Rochester City Schools and certain individuals think that this is a good thing, or just based on the fact that they are obedient servants/rear kissers and do whatever one wants them to. We do not need any more made up positions as rewards for ones that are ignorant enough to do personal favors for BOE members. Lets get some help for the schools where it is really needed and not up at the administration level. I know my neighbors nor I are in a hurry to become the next Urban-suburban pilot project, but if Greece keeps hiring pta buddies and rewarding faculty that do favors for them such as tutoring or spying this is exactly what is going to happen. Thanks current administration and board members for sealing the deal on ensuring that we become the next Rochester City Charter school district. When my oldest was in attendance I believe the slogan was World class district or something along those lines, now that my youngest is finishing I understand why I no longer see that slogan around, it no longer applies.

To 6:14PM ~~ I put retired in quotes because while 1 or 2 may be somewhat "active" in their barely perceptible ways, the group as an organized body has definitely been disbanded.

To Ed Gartz ~~ As I explained to you back when you considered running for BOE, this BLOG's "purpose" (among other things) is to provide a place for those with knowledge about the corruption to safely share what they know. It sounds like you MIGHT be very close to the person you named. That does not mean that our BOE, the Supt. or other employees of GCSD were above-board with their methods for bringing this person into this job. I have yet to talk to anyone who actually saw the position posted. This whole situation smells in the same way that so many before have.

Ok this is Eddie again. I understand the concern that a posting may not have been done. YEP got it. I hate it when people don't follow procedure and use the "Buddy System". I don't know if that's the case but I do respect your concern. So yes that may be a point of contention. However let me be clear about this. If you or anybody is asked to send a resume to apply for a job, it isn't the concern of the person that was asked to see if procedures were followed. After all they don't know how many were asked to do the same thing and therefore to the applicant they may think that they are competing for a job (and in this case that was exactly what was thought). It is the group or person that has the position open that is responsible for assuring the process if followed. With all that said my concern was really this; in a community that has become infamous for student bullies do you really think it is right to call a person a spy and make comments about her voice. Gee is it possible that the students may have learned their behaviors from the adults that surround them? YOU THINK? At least after the comments I read I can justify calling a coward a coward!

SCATS said...

To Ed Gartz ~~ The concerns go far beyond what can be easily explained here. The problem is, the people of Greece have been blind-sided by such manuevers too many times in the past. In MY mind, this is more about the operations of the BOE, District Office & the Supt. than the warm body who got the job AT THIS POINT IN TIME. Having said that, our district is SUPPOSED TO BE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER! Also, if I'm not mistaken, the BOE clerk has to pass a Civil Service Test to qualify for the position. Networking with a PTA buddy who just happens to be the BOE Prez. isn't enough to qualify, if laws, policies, etc. are all abided by. This is just ANOTHER example of the sneaky, shady methods employed by the powers that be. ANYONE WHO GOES TO WORK FOR THEM BECOMES SIMILARLY TAINTED.

Your defensive tone is of a level that seems to indictate that Ann is more than an acquaintance to you. That's fine, but in the interests of being upfront, you probably ought to say so.

Only in educaation could one person really be doing the jobs of two people. That is an indication of expectations more than a statemnet about effort and results!

If the statment is indeed true,it suggests the need for an immediate administration budget cut of at least 50%.

I can't speak to the hiring process as I am unaware of what and how it was done. However, having worked with the individual who was hired,I can say she is an extremely hard working, trustworthy and intelligent individual who I believe will do a fantastic job in any role in the district.

6:14 PM: Is that you Bev? Still calling yourself President of C.A.R.E.? That group faded into nothingness long ago. No interviews. No editorials. No budget flyers. No impact.

Anonymous said...

Yes Scats, you're right again.

"ANYONE WHO GOES TO WORK FOR THEM BECOMES SIMILARLY TAINTED."

Very true. Greece is carving out a new spot for themselves - lower than even the city schools!

Our poor kids continue to suffer while the adults ripoff the taxpayers to fatten their wallets.

People are fleeing Greece! Can't blame them at all!

6:14 was not BEV She no longer CARES. You will need some else to beat up on. SORRY!!!

Anonymous said...

I agree with Scats. If Eddie is so "upfront and honest," why won't he tell us exactly what his connection to the new board clerk really is? C'mon, Eddie. It's your turn to be "transparent."

Anonymous said...

I know Ann, new BOE clerk personally. Watch your back - there has never been a confidence she heard as a secretary, that she wasn't more than willing to share! She also has a famous sentence that she uses frequently - "not my job."

Anonymous said...

Hmmmm, sure is different from what "Eddie" has been spewing, huh?

Anonymous said...

Hey, where did Eddie disappear to all of a sudden? He started off with a ball of fire.... Then fizzled!

Don't quite know where this topic belongs, but why aren't the BOE meeting minutes for January and February posted on the GCSD website yet?

SCATS said...

To 9:31PM ~~ They usually approve minutes at the Regular meeting the next month. So January's unapproved minutes can be found in the BoardDocs from the Feb. 12th meeting. Feb's minutes should be approved at the upcoming Regular meeting on March 12th.

From Eddie Gartz, As with Ann and many on the board these posts prove out a couple of Murphy's laws. Hard work and good deeds NEVER go unpunished. Because my wife works part time at Pinebrook I have come to know Ann as well as many, many others in the school system. I find many positions such as teachers, clerks, principals, board members, and even the job of superintendent to be very hard and thankless jobs (Teachers the Hardest). Personally I found that the BOE was a job that did not have the depth of impact that would satisfy my desire to serve the public. But to say it is anything but a thankless job would be an understatement. So I'll disappoint the nay sayers by saying that I support the Superintendent because I think she is doing a great job. I support the BOE but I think they have improvements that can be made, however I take my comments directly to Board Members. I don't want them to hear my comments second hand from others and I don't have a problem saying I think somethings could be done different. As far as the average employee goes I think that all should be treated with respect because doing anything else would be less than honorable. But note I said average employee that leaves out those bullies that would pick on people from behind a mask and that I don't like, I'll go as far as saying I detest it. But given another one of Murphy's laws I will now bow out of this subject. Murphy's Law "Never argue with a fool after a bit of time people may not be able to tell the difference. Thanks to SCATS for allowing me to have my say but for now it's "Over and Out", Eddie

SCATS said...

To Ed Garth ~~ Might I suggest that if you want to really appreciate ALL that Greece Central has to offer that you need to get out of the fairy tale world of Pine Brook to see AND experience REALITY in GCSD! To date, the BOE & Supt. have FAILED to bring Pine Brook into the fold like the other schools!! There's nothing "average" about it, its employees or even the carefully chosen students who attend it.

By the way, people who post with an ending such as yours are essentially using a bullying tactic to have the last word, which is interesting coming from YOU in particular ;)

Good observation, Scats. Exactly what many of us were thinking. It's sometimes referred to as "hit-and-run" in the world of blogs.

I notice that Eddie never did elaborate on his earlier postings, despite being asked to several times. Guess the heat was too much for him.

Anonymous said...

The Pine Brook "fairy tale" is over then for the new B.O.E. Clerk. That place really has no clue what the rest of the district is like. I am glad my kids don't go there anymore. It is all about how it looks. Nothing more. That administration has not a clue.

To Eddie -
Did your wife ever have an encounter with the bullies from Pine Brook? The two goofballs in charge over there are less than honorable phonies. Ditto regarding the previous poster.
