where did you see just one chaperone for 55 kids? Seems like a disaster in the making to me, even with mostly well behaved kids.

To 12:03PM ~~ It's in the paperwork attached to BoardDocs. While two teachers are named as "in charge" there is only funding shown to pay for one chaperone. I'll see if I can post the link in the BLOG.

Preferential treatment for some teachers. Other proposals from other school with correct member of chaperones and following all board language are not even presented to the board for approval.

The budget; It is time to send a very clear and simple message to the board and administration.

COST and QUALITY

If more spending is going to be proposed on the horizon then tell us how 'quality' is going to improve. Don't tell us what you 'hope' will happen - tell us what you will be accountable for. Simply put taxpayers have handed over records amounts of money and have little if anything to show for it - enough.
We deserve a better product NOT excuss making.

most likely, funding is for one teacher and the others are paying their own way.

To 3:29PM ~~ Who really knows since this document was signed in June of 2012? The number of students, price & other details may have changed in the months since then.

would the employment history be for the staff members exhibiting inappropriate behavior with students, that the district constantly sweeps under the rug?

To 8:14PM ~~ Our BOE & Supt. bent over backwards tonight to try to convince us that GCSD in general, and Athena MS/HS in particular, are brimming full of employees, students, etc. who do only "good deeds." Bottom line: although we have fewer students, fewer employees and fewer buildings than we've had in many years, the budget is up about 3% again. I guess the cost of buying a newer, cleaner and bigger carpet to sweep the problems under is well worth it in their eyes ;)

MEMO: from Babs
to SCATS

Listen very carefully you litterbox refugee I am sick of you picking on each and every one of my actions here in Greece. I have some very good connections in this town, and you cats have no legal protection.
One snap of my fingers and I can have a Hockey Team showing you some checks into the wall. Some of those boys will chew your scratching post down and use the stick they make to slap you around.

I'm sick of your catcrap. The constant it's Babs fault theme is causing me to loose sleep. I sure don't want to wake up looking like some BOE member from stress.

Nothing in GCSD is my fault. It says so in my contract! It's all the fault of the Union employees who fail to follow my directives.

Remember, Barbie is WONDERFUL! GREECE is lucky to have Barbie Doll as Super Barb.

You got that Hairball?
Have a nice day

To 1:12AM ~~ OMG I love starting the day with a good laugh! And that fits PERFECTLY into what I'm working on for an upcoming BLOG: The State of GCSD Under Babs ;)

The president says it is time to insure woman are rewarded fairly for their "effort". His word, not mine.

Here we go again. Men will be paid fairly for their results but woman paid for their effort.

I think the president's lines were written by a representative of the teacher's union.

Sorry, but I'm not seeing the connection.

SCATS said...

To 2:45PM ~~ To whom are you referring to?

Anonymous said...

The connection between what 2:17 said and "teachers unions."
