Town of Greece To Recognize Ritter

Officer Jon Ritter, GPD
Greece Police Officer Jon Ritter will be recognized by town officials during the Greece Town Board meeting on January 15 at 6PM.

While Ritter was making his way to work on Christmas Eve, he came across the scene of the fire and shooting on Lake Road in Webster. He says he was driving down the road just seconds after the firefighters arrived and what happened next was something no one can prepare for.

Strange over the past few days watching the various towns trying to declare and honor their heros. Too bad none of the towns seem to want to recognize the other town's officers and emergency personnel. WHen did this become a contest about our people or your people?

To 8:05PM ~~ Seems to me "the brotherhood" is very territorial, and it shows. The real shame is that the attempt to get Presidential recognition was only made (initially) for the 4 firemen from Webster.

IMHO, the 4 firefighters were doing their job, volunteer or otherwise. They were in the wrong place at the wrong time. There's really nothing heroic about such a tragic incident as that.

A prime example of warped thinking on you part.

To 4:09PM ~~ Not at all. A real hero puts his own life on the line to save others. Those first on the scene were there to fight a fire ... not to save someone from a shooter. Maybe if they saved a life in fighting the fire, but that apparently didn't happen. Ritter potentially rises to the level of "hero" because of his actions to prevent others from getting in the shooter's sites. There IS a difference.

To the person with the threatening remarks ~~ You've been reported to the appropriate folks including Google. It would be a VERY GOOD IDEA to cease & desist.

Expect the elected closed clubby and corrupt to use this event as an opportunity to campaign to keep them in office. And Baxter will play along because.

None other than Jeff McCann along with Shannon O'Keefe made an appearance at the neighborhood meeting on Wedesday. Gearing up for campaign season already. Noticably absent--was the council person who represents that very district.

To 10:33AM ~~ How long has it been since Auberger showed his mug at a meeting?

Despite what you think, Shannon O'Keefe actually represents more of "that very district" than the person you were referring to. Your sour grapes give you away, Mr. & Mrs. G.

To 10:37AM ~~ Conlon made a great show pretending to adopt the NGN area as his own & NGN's members sucked up to him for doing so. They love to play both sides like that.

BTW, I really doubt that you are who you want us to believe you are by signing that way. They never have done so before ;)

That wasn't a "signsture." Notice the comma?

To 3:05PM ~~ Oh OK.

The Chief can't even attend the ceremony today. He's on vacation. How's that for support?????? SAD.
