Ritter Honored By Greece Town Board

  • Proclamation Made By Greece Town Board, Auberger: "The chaos and tragedy that ensued is something our community will never forget. If it were not for Officer Ritter's imminent action, many more deaths and injuries could have occurred."

  • Chief Todd Baxter Writes Letter Commending Ritter's Actions:  "Thank you hardly seems enough to express the sentiments" of the Webster Police Department, West Webster Fire Department, and the entire community for his "heroic actions."

    • Given Distinguished Service Award for 3rd Time

    • PETITION For Medal of Freedom Lacks Needed Signatures ~~ To award the Medal of Freedom to Officer Jon Ritter of the Greece Police Department for saving multiple lives in Webster.
SCATS ~~ Why isn't the WWFD "brotherhood" or even the Greece FDs "brotherhood" helping this man out??

Why hasn't Scats sent a check?

His own boss wasn't event there. What doest that tell you???

To 12:12PM ~~ Sent a check for Ritter? I hadn't heard there was anyone collecting for him. Please give us the details.

To 12:38PM ~~ He showed up from his "vacation" to be in the audience. Why not show up and just give him the award anyway?

I find it fascinating that he has been avoiding the camera so much in recent months. Makes me wonder why he's distancing himself from his boss ...

Also, it's not like this ceremony couldn't have been delayed until another meeting to allow it to be done properly.

Perhaps the FBI will soon be answering that question SCATS as to why the distance.

    We can certainly hope.

To 1:33PM ~~ As with the cold case investigation into Timothy Milgate's murder & the Holiday Inn fire, I no longer believe the hype that GPD spewed, nor I will hold my breath about anything the FBI might be doing. I think the Chief has learned Bab's mgmt technique - let the underlings go on record & then you can never be held accountable.

He could also be playing safe incase Republicans are voted out of Greece and he wants to keep his job. He likes to pretend he is not a politician but his actions say otherwise. Don't they SCATS?

Chief Baxter showing that he is man of high integrity again last night. He downplayed his attendance because he wanted to give Office Ritter the praise and commendation he deserved. He is not like you who has to be the center of attention day in and day out.

Everything else you said is POPPYCOCK.

To 4:01PM ~~ Baxter could & should have given the award, since IT'S HIS DUTY ;) As far as I'm aware, Uhmacher isn't the boss.

Scats, anyone who has seen how the Feds work will no doubt tell you that they do not expend time and assets for over six months without someones. Ass in their brief case when they leave town. Action is imminent .

To 8:04PM ~~ Perhaps Robach's extracurricular activities caught their attention. He employs a Town Board member in his office. Maybe they were both involved in constructing the "recommendation" for the drug kingpin ... ??

Don't you find it odd that the Chief was not dressed in uniform at this ceremony? Something seems off.

To 8:46AM ~~ What's "odd" is that he himself didn't bestow the award on his cop! Officially, I heard he's "on vacation" but Auberger recognized that he appeared in the audience. Baxter slighted Ritter by not dressing up to make an official appearance and doing the honors himself.

It strikes me as odd that this is Ritter's THIRD TIME to get this award, yet his name remains unfamiliar to most.

It's like this SCATS, the UNION members of Local 3827 IAFF are too damn busy rubbing their hands together waiting for donation money to roll in from the chumps er I mean taxpayers to be screwing around with some award ceremony.

I'm just trying to figure out how much I should send them to support their UNION frivolity & steak dinners. Should it be half of the $627 Fire TAX I just got the bill for, or should it be what they deserve on top of the bloated paycheck they truly deserve?

Hell, I'm thinking I just might donate to Hilton FD where no UNION firemen are employed. Hilton is an honest Fire Department, all volunteer, and they will show anyone where they spent their 2% money.
