Greece Purse Snatcher Targets Elderly

WHEC-TV reports: "Police in Greece are investigating six purse snatchings since Thanksgiving.

Greece Police Captain Patrick Phelan says four of the victims were elderly women who were at the grocery store and two victims had just returned home from grocery shopping. In one instance, police say the victim was pushed to the ground. She was otherwise uninjured.

The two instances that happened at private residences occurred in the parking lot of apartment complexes – one on Falmouth Street and the other on Kingsberry Drive.

Police say they have a general description of a suspect – a man in his 20s, approximately 5’10” with an average build. Police say they have not released a description of the vehicle as they have received conflicting descriptions."
