Too bad the Dems didn't have a suitable candidate to run against Reilich. Another missed opportunity courtesy of the Greece Dumbocrats.

To 3:52PM ~~ Why is it the GREECE Dems fault? There's a lot of other towns plus the city too.

I saw a a couple of races where there was no second candidate, so I skipped those and didn't vote. Why waste the valuable magic marker ink on a non-contest?

To 6:47PM ~~ Like Reilich & Robach? Two perfect examples of why there need to be term limits!

The Greece demos can not attract qualified candidates for several reasons. The biggest problem is their inner circle does not have one. In order to attract a qualified candidate with some community involvement and name recognition, the lack of financial resources and the ability to raise funds to support this person, does not exist. Most of all and equally important is the lack of a strong leader to take control and recruit new members to their committee.

The present bunch are for the most part confirmed loosers and need to be replaced with younger energized types who know what it takes to win and will work effectively together to achieve that goal.

In order to win in Greece, it would be absolutely necessary to distance themselves from the MC Democratic Committee which is totally devoid of leadership and completely impotent. That bunch of Eastsiders had a lot to do with the fact that we still haveAuburger Inc as they wrecked the local Dems in the 2009 election as they blind sided the local Dems to
Preserve McCanns $80,000 salary job as Asst Supervsor. The reason was personally motivated. It just so happened that Joe Morelle's secretary was McCann's wife.

Hairberger has to be upset he did not get the job at the Monore County Water Authority. I guess the Republican party likes Pittsford Town Supervisor Bill Carpenter better!

RE 3:47pm. You are very correct on all points. The Greece Democratic Party is now run by a husband and wife team that will never accomplish anything meaningful in achieving a strong voice that holds the Republican white-collar criminal dynasty accountable. I know them and they need some sort of community "position" to feed their need to feel important. But I am not sure that the finest Democratic minds anywhere would do a whole lot better. Greece is filled with people who are A. Old party line Republicans who are politically brain dead, B. Parents too busy with two jobs and busy kids to have the time to care about town business "stuff" (they barely have time for school business "stuff"), C. the single folks who have no clue. What is missing is a high quality group of residents who will get together and do something constructive to change our governance environment. But those people live in Webster, Victor, Penfield and Fairport, etc. And for good reason. Why would they want to live in Greece? Their peers don't live here.
