Greece Police Nab Burglar

Mark Huff, 28, arrested 11/28/12

According to WHEC-TV: A Greece man was arrested today on burglary and criminal mischief charges.

A Greece Police lieutenant saw a suspicious man at a home on Latona Road. According to police, when the lieutenant knocked on the front door, he saw the same man going around to the back of house.

Once the suspect exited the home, a short foot chase ensued. The suspect – Mark Huff -- was taken into custody.

Huff is also charged with possession of burglar tools. He was arraigned and remanded to the Monroe County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. He is due back in court on Thursday.

SCATS ~~ This is my favorite kind of cops & robbers saga: the kind where the police catch the bad guy in action!! Kudos to the unnamed cop (and those called to assist him) for a job well-done!!!

Yes. Thanks to the alert officer!

Good to see he's been out a WHOLE two years since he was released from his previous 5 year stint in prison for what else....burglary! I wonder how many people he victimized prior to getting caught this time around.

Thanks to my Facebook friend who showed me this fellow has been in trouble before:

And yes, it IS him. She knows a family member.

To 1:45PM ~~ I've always said I'm not averse to posting truly "good news." Based on what I read, there's no hype, no politics, just a job done well. Such a breath of fresh air ;)

Maybe this breath of fresh air can get the other stink off their butts. And get them to do their jobs instead of making excuses.
