Reilich Denies Rumors About Son

Claims Greece Police Investigated
Allegations 4 Years Ago

13WHAM Reports: County Legislator Rick Antelli was inside in hair salon on North Greece Road Thursday morning, but he wasn't talking. He told us everything will come out later.

It was Antelli who first revealed there was an F.B.I. probe in the town of Greece. He confirmed that during a recent zoning board hearing.

Antelli appeared before the board as a businessman, requesting a variance and then went on the record at the taped meeting about the investigation saying:

"A lot of that information should stay right within this board because there is an FBI investigation going on about that...There's an investigation going on and I'm a federal witness, so make sure you mark that down."

Those comments unleashed rumors that had first surfaced four years ago on a blog. Those rumors allege there was a cover-up of an accident involving a town worker in 2003, who was allegedly drunk, operating a town plow, when he crashed into a car.

That worker was allegedly the son of State Assemblyman Bill Reilich. Reilich denied the rumors saying Greece Police investigated the same allegations four years ago and found them to be nothing more than "vicious rumors."

Reilich says he was in the middle of a heated election when those rumors first surfaced so he wrote them off as dirty politics. Now, he doesn't know what to think. He says whoever is spreading these rumors is trying to deflect from the fact that there is an F.B.I. probe.

Greece Police Chief Todd Baxter says he can't comment on the F.B.I. investigation except to say: "It does not involve the current Police Department."

SCATS ~~ Four years ago, Greece Police was still headed by Merritt Rahn. Maybe we need a "do over" of that investigation to clear the air now and put any rumors to rest ...?

Shortly after the accident , Driver of the truck was benched and assigned to an inside job at the highway. He remained there until he was given a job with Monroe County, where he is currently employed. You be the judge.
As usual, Auburger has taken the "Fifth". What a complete joke.Absolutely nothing goes on in this town that he doesn't know about or has his finger prints all over .
If memory serves me right , I remember someone posting that he received a visit from a Greece Officer asking what he knew about this suddenly "Phantom Accident" that they are now denying ever happened. Lol
A classic example of LIAR LIAR, PANTS ON FIRE.!!!

DIRTY POLITICS according to a Reilich. He should know,he's very good at playing that game himself.

To 10:04AM ~~ Let's NOT resort to name-calling. I've deleted other comments that were more directly aimed. I'm not sure who you are saying lied which is all that saved you ... this time.

To 10:17AM ~~ When I think of Greece or Monroe County, I can't recall any other flavor in the last 30 years, can you?

Both parties are pretty good at name calling. No party is any better than the other. They are both closed, clubby and corrupt--dems and republicans. Each party has their own scandals and lies.

To 2:43PM ~~ I agree totally! I would say they are closed, clubby, corrupt AND clueless about how the masses survive ;)

Let's not forget who gave us Mr Reilich. Maggie!! When she dumped on Steve Minarick, her creator, she appointed Reilich to the post of Chair. Let's not forget that a short time after she sixst him, the poor man dropped dead from a heart attack. In my opinion and that of others, this was a clear cut case of Broken Heart Syndrome. Reilich is not nor will he ever be, the leader Steve Minarick was.

To 4:30PM ~~ Congratulations! You win. I was waiting for someone to connect this all back to Maggie.

Afterreading today's D&C , no one should be surprised as to why the Feds are ALL OVER what has been going on for years in our town and county government. The more they dig the more they are going to unearth. It's about time
Some top dogs are held accountable for all the irregularities committed in this most corrupt county government in upstate New York. GO FEDS!!!!

To 6:28AM ~~ So far, the "truth" is about an entirely different alleged (cough, cough) crime! Does anyone else believe that Bill Sr. ALREADY KNEW ABOUT THIS ISSUE when he went on WHAM news the night before to say he didn't know about the plow accident except to read it on some BLOG 4 yrs ago? He must think we're all really, really stupid! Oh wait!! We are!!! We keep re-electing these same corrupted SOBs every few years!

To 9:05AM ~~ I just hope they are VERY THOROUGH and finally get to the bottom of the corruption around here. I'm so disgusted by our local "leaders".

Is it a variation of "deep six"?

Is Reilich up for election this year?

SCATS said...

To 2:39PM ~~ I looked up his bio. He was first elected in 2002 & began serving in 2003. According to Wikipedia, the terms are for 2 yrs. So, it looks to me like he is just completing his 5th 2-yr. term. He should be running this fall. Is he running without a Dem. running against him??

According to Ballotopedia he is running unopposed. Time for Dave Garretson to run again

SCATS said...

To 4:37PM ~~ He's too busy basking in the afterglow of the convention lol

Of course he's running unapposed. The lack of a viable Town and County Democratic Party is responsible. As long as Morreli is county chair, they will be losers. If it wasn't for his interference in the town 2009 election, we would have a new supervisor and at least one new demo on the board.

As long has holds that position, no one in complete possession of his faculties, would run for public office in this town.

That year while he was busy screwing up the race in Greece , he lost the town of Irondeqouit , his home town. He operates the Committee as a way of maintaining his Assembly seat and nothing more.
