School Supply Costs Emptied Your Wallets ...

BUT NOW
SCHOOL TAX BILLS HAVE ARRIVED
and
ARE WAITING TO EMPTY YOUR
BANK ACCOUNTS!

THANKS TO JULIA VAN ORMAN
and the
CLOSED, CLUBBY, CORRUPT & CLUELESS BOE

SCATS ~~ A friend commented about how glad they are for the STAR exemption. I pointed out that we're paying for STAR (same with COMIDA) through other NY State taxing opportunities. What if we get rid of STAR and let people know honestly how much they are paying in property taxes? (Wegmans can't put milk "on sale" every day of the year, because pretty soon the "sale price" becomes THE price.) Don't you think NY State will be pressured to get their spending under control then?

This is not pertaining to this subject, but the lawyer arrested - wasn't he also the attorney for the care group?

To 2:50PM ~~ He may have been, I really don't recall. But I think he has also represented GCSD in the past on certain specific items, too. Even I have used his services for general legal issues ... long, long ago ...

NY spending will never come under control as long as NY remains Welfare Bonus Land.

Dollars spent on roads are a good use of tax money. Dollars spent on welfare programs bring nothing but more welfare collectors.

Long past time to hang the CLOSED sign in the window.

Has anyone else calculated the enhanced star reduction using only the data supplied on the bill, and come up with a reduction in their total bill that is 3.94% less than the reduction should be. Enhanced S Value shown on bill times Tax Rate Per 1000 shown on bill does NOT equal the Star Savings Credit shown on my bill. The credit shown is over $50 less than the reduction I believe I am entitled to. WHY? Is there a mysterious formula that is different from the data shown? Surely the GCSD BOE cannot overturn the laws of mathematics....or can they?
Is this calculation performed by GCSD, the town assessors office, or a contacted service vendor?

Well was out shopping for school supplies at the Elmridge Walmart today. I decided to get a cup of coffee at the Tops Markets and some employees told me that they were being told their store is closing on 10-20-12.
Can't believe another huge grocery store in greece is closing.
