Is Our Chief MIA? Was Peters Badly Hurt?

Chief Todd's last apparent Q & A Interview with media -
8/9/12 on 13WHAM - just 2 days before the BOHA boxing match against Lt. Scott Peters from Rochester PD.

Since then, he has issued press releases & made appearances only where there were no open Q & A sessions with media ... Ex. ~ handing out dictionaries to 3rd grade students with Joe Robach.

First, Capt. Chatterton (now retired) and now Capt. Uhrmacher have been visible, frequent Greece PD spokespersons for the Summer ... especially since the Karen Klein incident in June.

Now, Lt. Scott appears to be MIA from RPD as well. This begs the question of just how badly was his shoulder injured by Chief Todd during that boxing match that was reported to have been stopped before it was completed?

WHAT'S HAPPENED TO OUR CHIEF?

Please don't write in to tell me you've "seen" Chief Todd. I've "seen" him too. That's NOT the point. The point is he hasn't been available for open Q & A with media in a long time. WHY IS THAT??

He has seen you too!!!

To 6:38PM ~~ Ha ha! I just hope he remembers our last chat ;)

Isn't it clear that Johhny has put a leash on him and told him he must obey.

To 7:48PM ~~ Great minds think alike! It IS an election year ;)

Maybe he just doesn't want to talk to you, Scats. Perhaps he is tired of the constant fault finding, negativity and general dissatisfaction you and your blog has for the GPD.
I guess I wouldn't blame him for being much more reclusive. Of course, that will now be a reason to be negative, to find fault and to reflect dissatisfaction, won't it?

To 9:33PM ~~ I'm absolutely AMAZED by the extreme powers attributed to me! I've been blamed, recently, for causing the BOE to stop all boardroom discussion for fear they will be quoted on the BLOG. Now you are saying I've driven Chief Todd, a 20+ year veteran military guy with police & SWAT team experience underground ! Next thing you know, I'll be responsible for Auberger's next scandal ;)

And to think that some of my detractors believe I'm totally impotent when it comes to creating "change." lol

Aw, c'mon, Scats. You love it!

SCATS, if you don't think small thinks can be effective, think of being alone in a room at night with a single mosquito

To get your comments posted, they should be about the BLOG topic, not the messenger ;)

One or two of you are getting really nasty ... and write in multiple times with the same crude crapple (thinking I can't tell lol).

Need some info, SCATS. Why do some of the schools have the School Zone signs and reduced speed limits while others do not?

SCATS said...

To 3:40PM ~~ I didn't realize that was the case. Which ones don't have the signs?? It's the Town's job to obtain & post the signs, as far as I'm aware. Maybe our PD could help with the cause ;)

Signs are inconsistent, Scats. Pinebrook has flashing lights and a 25 mph speed sign. The new West Ridge has a sign for school (not flashing) and no speed limit sign. Olympia has speed limit signs but no flashers. Is there a set rule for what signs go with different levels of use for the building?
Just asking, not looking for a secret conspiracy or dereliction of duty. You seem to be able to get answers.

To 7:13PM ~~ I don't think there is a set rule. The 25MPH speed limit is state law as I recall. The use of flashers I think happens depending on circumstances for each particular area. Maybe a call to one of GPD's Traffic Enforcement specialists would get you a more concrete answer. I think Capt. Uhrmacher oversees such things. 720-1119 or buhrmacher@greeceny.gov according to the Town's website.

Hey he commented on the story at WHAM 13 regarding the Milgate Murder. So he isn't MIA.

To 10:37AM ~~ As I stated, he hasn't done an OPEN Q & A with the media or the public in a very long time! Standing on the side of 104 (or where ever it was) to chat with Patrice Walsh about Laraby, Milford, & other cold cases isn't exactly what I had in mind.

The fact he surfaced to do this interview now, after the BLOG, was most amusing, too. Until shown otherwise, he's been told to "shut it" by Auberger & Co. Patrice Walsh isn't exactly an investigative reporter type ;) Talk about politics! lol
