To 8:11PM ~~ While I can share your disgust, the purpose is to demonstrate GCSD hasn't had any great leaders in quite sometime.

To 8:30PM ~~ It's the end of another disastrous school year. Sometimes I feel the need for comic relief ;)

How about "None of the above?"

I don't think we have EVER had a decent Superintendent in this district in the last 50 years! And a few that I can think of that would have been good for Greece left for greener pastures because they never stood a chance with all the Central Office politics and corruption!

To 6:46AM ~~ I thought of that but I really want to see who turns out to be the "lesser" evil ;)

I had voted for Babs yesterday. However since she and Chief Todd delegated the Bus Monitor incident to Hoeft and Chatterton, I an very very disappointed. Please back my vote off from Babs. She has shown ZERO leadership on this today. And I don't give a rats ass on where her schedule had her. This is the LEAD news story on the NBC Today show website now. She has done nothing to get in front of this. We pay her 200k a year to LEAD not play Ostrich.

During the war years there were fireside chats. This is history. Sometimes the public needs the top leaders to come down from olympus and speak to us to reassure us. Even the president has press conferences in times of chaos. This is the most attention for a local serious negative action in all my years in this area since the riots in the sixties in the city. We have media attention for this problem and our 2 leaders Baxter and Williams are not speaking to us in the media. Not at the press conference and not in any of the interviews from local tv and radio to the national media. Sure the superintendent gave a quote to the paper but nothing we could listen to. Or even see her. We have to give Auberger credit for showing up at the press conference, but that he is not enough. This is very dangerous . The children really threatened that monitor even though she says she was not afraid. But they did say they wanted to do terrible things to her and her house and kept demanding where she lived. She says she was not afraid because maybe she couldn't hear them. She had to keep asking Ryan Seacrest to repeat himself on the radio interview and in many cases a handler had to repeat for her what he had asked. So maybe she was too unaware to realize she was being threatened.
And those bulliers were threatened with harm and death according to the police officer. We should have been reassured by the police chief and the school superintendent of what the action was going to be and if our community is safe.
They seem to think we are satisfied that they are activating the "bully response team" and that will make this all right. How will those perpetrators of the bullying attend school in this district without causing commotion and possibly inciting unrest or retaliation when school resumes? This is not just going to cool off over the summer.
And here is a question. Do all buses have monitors? And why? When did we start to assign all buses with monitors if that is the case?

To 9PM ~~ I would only add to your comments by including the absence of our BOE Prez, too. Wonder if Babs & Julia made it to all of those graduations this weekend ...?
