FYI Julia wants the president job again next year with Ferrington. In my opinion not a recipe for change. All to chummy with BABS . Still interested what people will feel about the need for leadership change. It won't change anything but they will know how the community feels at least.

Without going into specifics, eh hmm, there are certain segments of our population that contribute almost nothing positive. Nobody is allowed to say so publicly, but everyone knows its true. It IS the only reason my child attends pine brook instead of our neighborhood school. Start paying attention to some of the nicest vehicles (BMW, Lexus, Mercedes, ect.) that you see up on Ridge Rd. on any given day. Notice something interesting about the large majority of the drivers? Shopping malls, amusement parks, and other places where disposable income is used, ever wonder why so many of the folks in these places look a certain way? Greece IS done. Our schools and their results are nothing more than a result of ghetto culture spreading like a cancer through our town.

Some of you no doubt have noticed that recently I have been more active on this site.I have a bad habit of being to outspoken in my postings. This has always been my philosophy to call things as I see them. In the process, I have managed to alienate Individules known to me.for this I am truly sorry but I am who I am and must act accordingly.
So after considering the worth to me to post comments I personally feel strongly about, I have decided that it is no longer in any ones best interests and my own to continue to post my thoughts on this site
I will instead consentrating on writing that book I've been considering about the life and times of Greece resident and former employee of the town as seen thru his 50 plus years of exposure to the things that have taken place in the past of which I have accumulated a vast amount of information over that period of time.
I consider this site as a valuable source of the sampling of the sentiment of it's residents My only wish is that where possible, posters identify themselves with their comments. While I understand the reasoning to the contrary, comments made by people who Identify themselves carry more weight.
To Scats , keep up the good work by keeping issues alive that might ordinarily be buried by those who would rather not deal with them.

To 9:40, would that segment be called BLACKS? Would you be in favor of going back to the 1800's, to be able to own them would certinly make you feel better. There is word that best describes you, and that is RACIST. I am sure that you will defend it with the idiotic comment of "i have friends that are of color" but it is not the same thing. Once a racist always a racist.

Hey Joey, where you going to begin the book?
Gorgeous Gordon and his girls?
Vince's favorite barstool at the Holiday Inn?
The Supervisor who hid police cars to teach the cops a lesson?
I'm Supervisor cause my Mom left the County Leg so I could be a politician too?
Me & Gerry can so drive this drunk, we both got our heads out the windows.

And in chapter 2 you can talk about the Popo Department, Criminal Indictment of the Highway Superintendent and a bunch of other good stuff.

How about a chapter on Democrats in Greece, and one on how Democrats pick candidates to run in Greece.

9:15 I hope you feel better now, having 'classified' me. I suppose the challenge for you now would be to prove me wrong rather than simply calling me names.

It is not racism. It is unfortunately cultural. The hooting and hollering at choir concerts, the way in which some move to the beat of a different drum it is prevalent in large groups of black and hispanic folks.

Just yesterday we had moving up day and the ONLY moms that went right out on the track where students where being called for awards, this equates to going on the stage during a HS graduation, on the phone no less, where black. The parents that scream and chanted obnoxiously for their students that I dare say are not model citizens were black.... and the humor is in the fashion show that comes with these moms.

Attend and event in GCSD like band and chorus concerts many parents of all colors don't know or follow concert etiquette and then the black folk take it to another level.

THIS IS NOT RACISM this may be stereotyping but unfortunately when you live in a small "city" community like Greece as compare to metropolitan cities these behaviors from certain people sticks out!

To 8:42AM ~~ Assigning specific behaviors to specific cultures or ethnicities IS racist, isn't it? Stereotyping IS racist too. On the other end of the spectrum, this past weekend, I saw the Youtube video of an out-of-control hockey mom who got out on the ice at her kid's game to tell the ref how to do his job. Everyone has a bad habit these days, regardless their skin color.
