Thunder Hockey Players Partying

These need not be posted publicly, but the latest Tyler Grimshaw tweets are quite telling about the 'little angel':

"Drinking every night because we drink to my accomplishments"

"Hahaha cops arrest me for trespassing when I know who lives there #jokes"

Gotta makes the Thunder family and Greece taxpayers proud to know they've helped to produce another prize in society.     5/06/2012 6:53 AM

Actually the more thunder/Athena tweets I read, concerning Brock the port, the more I'm convinced Greece's youth is doomed. You see pics on some of their pages showing Budweiser bottles in hand, and the background is a car's dashboard! I don't even know these kids and I'm finding this stuff, where the hell are their families? Nonstop drug and alcohol references? Greece is doomed!   5/06/2012 9:57 AM

Looks like several of them, according to their twitter pages, enjoyed the festivities out at Brockport last night. By festivities I mean drunken, criminal activity that make the Sunday paper. Gotta love it. Great job parents!    5/06/2012 3:32 PM

SCATS ~~ Yes, Greece can be so proud! (dripping sarcasm)

Wow, high school athletes getting drunk? This must be a problem that only occurs in Greece. Great detective work.

I see https://mobile.twitter.com/riola_steve has several mentions of Bombay gin and passing for 21 today. Might explain why the Thunder were such a disappointment.

Actually 3:45 detective work involves... Work. These clowns openly brag about their fun. Great job parents!

To 3:45PM ~~ I'd say it's the brazen attitude they have in openly boasting about it and knowing nobody has the guts to take them to task for it ;)

When https://mobile.twitter.com/jtam_17 (thunder player) writes "I'm in love with miss Mary Jane" or "Just woke up, going to the store to grab some beer" or any of the other drug/alcohol crap...why am I flipping the bill for him to participate in anything?

I don't mean to approve of these tweets but drinking in high school is very common. These are nit the only kids doing it. Oppositional behavior. rejecting parnets and teachers is a part of adolescence. However, bullying fellow players and causing them physical harm is unacceptable.

To 7:52PM ~~ Interesting that you "don't mean to approve of these tweets" BUT then go onto specifically condemning violence which kinda sounds like you ARE approving of the other behaviors. Since drinking impairs judgement and teens often make poor decisions to begin with, I think drinking IS a big problem here.

Yes it's true, kids have always pushed the limits. It's the parents job to address and correct unacceptable behavior when it's noticed. These kids, however, seem to have no fear what so ever of authority, yet alone there parents. There is a kid who scored the winning goal in one of the Thunder sectional games going on and on about marijuana use and NOBODY cares? These parents should be embarrassed to have their names out there like this.

And his brother graduated from Harvard and played for the Amerks. Sounds like a classic case of black sheep syndrome.

To 9:17, yes it is the parents' role to correct these problems, but the taxpayers should not be expected to continue paying the bills for the extra curricular activities to continue unchallenged.

Forget about the parents of this generation of kids. They are simply out to lunch. They don't care about where their kids are or give a damn what they are doing. They are to busy with social materialistic lives. In many ways they are in same mind set as their kids.Remember the saying " The apple never falls to far from the tree".
The only time they react to the actions of their kids is when they get in trouble or worse are involved in a fatal situation.
Even then they refuse to take responsibility for their actions "It's always some else's fault". What is even scarier is what are the children of our present collection going to look like. All seems lost not just in Greece but nation wide.

@ 11:55 - Maybe he was the apple that fell far enough from the tree.

Generally speaking, dysfunctional families produce dysfunctional children. Greece has it's share of these families. Just ask the cops that respond to family trouble calls on a daily basis. The numbers would be staggering.
Any one care to take a guess at the number students at one of our high schools are classified as coming from this kind invironment by school administrators and counselors?

If you mean the rotten one you are correct.

To 3:11PM ~~ We're ALL dysfunctional in one respect or another. As for the Town of Greece, look at our so called leaders for true dysfunction! From the "Closed, Clubby & Corrupt" Town Board to the "can't say sh*t in public" school board to the FD's who are taxing us into oblivion ... role models for dysfunction abound!!

I simply can't understand why you people are so down on these wonderful children taught by the fine Greece Cntral teachers.

I can't begin to count the number of wonderful interactions I've had in the last year with the hockey team alone. Just this winter when there was all that snow, I couldn't shovel it, and my neighbor's little boy Tyler stopped by to shovel the snow for me. OK, he's a little slow and didn't arrive till April, but he was telling me how the police were picking on him.

I felt so happy he came by, and since I was low on cash I just gave him a bottle of my dead husband's moonshine collection. Tyler was so happy he went to playing with his cellphone telling other boys about the moonshine.

Last week the neighbor's cat got itself treed again by that nasty RottinWilder the Town Dog Catcher won't capture, so I called Sweet little Tyler direct on that phone he carrys in his pocket all the time. He came on the run with his hockey stick, and not 3 minutes later the sidewalk was full of hockey boys. They all went to work on the problem, got the cat out of the tree with those sticks slicker than anything I ever saw they did.

Next thing I know the RottinWilder sees the cat coming down and makes a run to grab Miss Kitty. The hockey boys saw him coming too, and that dog learned some manners that day. They even took the kitty home. Theboys who took the cat home had allergys though so they had to carry Kitty on a stick thing they play with.

These hockey children deserve a pat on the back from the entire town. They're darn sure giving us more for the Dollars spent than that worthless Dog Catcher!

To 2:30AM ~~ I can't imagine what happens when you allow your imagination to run wild.

And then it is held against us when we cant teach these kids. How sad.

Better yet, read some of this kid's Tweets at:

Last I checked "weed" is still illegal...even for 15 year olds.

It is ironic that this young man refers to others as white trash in his tweets.

More of the "I can do whatever I want" attitude that will continue to get the Greece Thunder Hockey Team in trouble. Good luck to the new coach!!! Would someone in the GCSD or GPD please reel in these little miscreants?
