You thank a vet on Veteran's Day. You mourn a vet on Memorial Day.

To 9:25PM ~~ I do both on both days. How can you not "thank" those who died for their country? Or "mourn" for those who sacrificed limbs or suffered other life-altering injuries?

Children, play nice. If you can do either on either day, then you should remember those who didn't come back and thank the ones who did. All gave some, some gave all!

Thanks Scats for posting this video.
Those who serve are very 'special' people and we are lucky to have them. You are doing your part to honor them.

Again - THANKS

The holidays are for two different things. One honors all veterans, the other just those that died in service to our country. Just a pet peeve of mine.

To 10:57AM ~~ I know the difference, thank you very much! Many family members have served. I see NOTHING "wrong" with thanking veterans any day, even on Memorial Day when we are remembering those who died. But if you don't want to, then don't ;)

I know it's off topic - but did you hear the kids on the 8th grade Washington trip had to change hotels because the 1st hotel was infested with. Bed bugs & the kids were getting bit? Hope no one has any on there clothes or on their luggage or Greece is going to have their own infestation to worry about!
