Is this why the Superintendent is on vacation this week? She can now deny that she knew of illegal activites took place under her watch! Sorry Ms. Williams you can't change Greece. We are what we are.

To 3:28PM ~~ Good luck with that!

To 3:55PM ~~ Only the illegal ones. It's part of my "Clean Up Greece Corruption" campaign ;)

To 4:55PM ~~ Aha! No wonder it hasn't been halted yet. Thanks for the info :)

Of course, it is entirely possible that this even is being run according to the laws of NYS.

But that wouldn't be nearly as fun as getting folks all riled up.

To 6:44PM ~~ Of course, you have absolutely NO PROOF, but want to pretend all is well. I asked several days ago if they got their license, NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON STEPPED UP TO RESPOND WITH ANY SORT OF AUTHORITY. So we can safely assume they don't ;) This attitude you're showing is a big contributor to the ills of this district.

Speaking of such things, the whole Penn State saga reminds me, and others who have mentioned it on their own, about how the abuse at Penn State sounds eerily familiar to what happened with the Athena wrestling team and the allegations they sexually abused a young man in the locker room a few years ago. Even the alibi lingo is the same ... "it was only horseplay ... we were just snapping some towels ... "

Of course you have no proof whatsoever that this event is in any way illegal.
You have been railing against this event and calling it illegal since Sunday and you expect anyone with "authority" to respond to you?
I for one am not surprised.

I guess we will have to wait until Friday and see if the authorities are contacted and the result. You have the time and place, I am sure you could file a complaint.

And really........there is a connection between a PTA bingo fundraiser and sexual abuse.
Come on that's kind of a stretch, even for you

Or, maybe no one really cares enough to respond to your allegations.

Just noticed the flyer says "formally known as pizza bingo"

That's so funny. I wonder if James Bond will be there in a tux by mistake since it is "formal". Then they might have to play baccarat.

And a little Bond background.

I can't go because it is only for arcadia families. "first come first serve"

To 7:57PM ~~ I don't post things I'm not confident about. There's no way ARMS's PTSA got a Bingo license! The idea that they would have ever considered doing so is completely ludicrous ;)

To 7:20AM ~~ Don't go mocking their name change. They think doing that made them "legal" ... even if they sound illiterate lol

Maybe Bingo night is their way of teaching the ABC's and 1, 2, 3's to prep those kids for their SAT's :D Besides, if they can't get into college, they might learn enough to become Bingo Palace's next "caller."

Did the coppers raid the joint?

Anonymous said...

I'll bet SCATS called 'em!

SCATS said...

To 6:48PM ~~ By now, you should know.

Anonymous said...

So.. No raid, no coverage by the local paper, no mass arrests. Must mean that the bingo night wasn't "illegal" after all.

Sorry to disappoint, Scats

SCATS said...

To 7AM ~~ That's some extremely twisted logic on your end. It's only murder (and illegal) if it's caught/stopped in the act. No wonder Greece needs flushing.

One can only assume with your efforts to alert the community of this illegal activity, that you also informed the authorities. If the authorities were alerted, certainly they would investigate. The lack of arrests would allow an observer to assume that nothing illegal occurred.

SCATS said...

To 11:24PM ~~ You ASSume I made that call. Then you ASSume the authorities responded. Then you ASSume arrests were the only possible outcome. Next you ASSume that the media would report on arrests by now (this is maybe the most ludicrous ASSumption so far!). Then you put it all together for one big ASSumption, based on the fact that you heard nothing.

Do you know what they say about assumptions??

Anonymous said...

That you are full of it.
All this talk about how illegal this bingo night was and.....nothing.
If you are so concerned why wouldn't you call the authorities?
Is it perhaps that there was, in fact, no law broken?
That seems to be the lost logical explanation.

To 5:45PM ~~ With people using "logic" like yours, I now understand how Greece became such a "Safe City." If arrests aren't made, there must be no crime ... nevermind the kicked in door, vandalized home and stolen items. No arrest, no victims!
