Why Is Border Patrol Helping Greece Police?

Bus station operators want to know where Border Patrol agents have disappeared to since the 10th anniversary of 9/11.

Ironically, News 10NBC saw a Border Patrol car used to help man a roadblock for a Greece Police call this afternoon. But it apparently was not a border patrol issue.

SCATS ~~ I've seen these cars around town a lot in recent weeks too, definitely a "new" routine. What the heck is going on here?

Maybe they are protecting our Greece border from the city. Or they are protecting Hilton from us.

To 12:04AM ~~ Apparently not either of those. I found this posted to 13WHAM's site:

Greece, N.Y. - Police took a man into custody who threatened to harm himself at a home on Stone Road.

Police briefly closed Stone Road from Dewey Avenue to McCall Road.

The road reopened after the man was taken into custody without incident.

There was a Border Patrol truck, with it's light flashing, that pulled up on 390 North yesterday morning behind a State Trooper car that had a car pulled over on the shoulder between West Ridge and the Ridgeway exits. I don't know if they're being used for extra manpower, or if there's some sort of multi-organization operation going on.

The Rochester Office of Border Patrol was one of the highest performing offices in the system over the last year.

In August the Administration in DC aware of Rochester's numbers ordered the office to close down Airport and bus station operations along with railroad operations in Rochester.

That's right folks, Rochester is now a gateway community for illegal immigration.
Thanks Barak

Sounds like good police work to me (use any available resource). Keep it up.

To 1:18AM ~~ Why are Border Patrol agents assisting Greece PD if this area's operations were shutdown? Were they told to do so, instead of their former duties?? Sounds very odd ...

To 4:21AM ~~ Be careful what you wish for ;) We could end up with laid-off RCD teachers aiding law enforcement!
