Old Flip-Flops Never Go Out Of Style ...

"Supervisor's Actions Shouldn't Be Defended"

"The letter in the March 24 edition of the Greece Post (“Remember Auberger’s positives, as well”) regarding Greece Supervisor John Auberger is laughable at best.

The writer mentions the fact that Mr. Auberger is a member of St. Lawrence Church. As a Catholic, I can tell you that “Thou shall not commit adultery” is one of the 10 Commandments which John Auberger has clearly violated.

Let’s also not forget this is not the first scandal that has occurred under Mr. Auberger’s watch. In addition to the Greece Police Department scandal, there was also the tax assessor scandal. His arrogance and refusal to take responsibility for his actions is why he continues to set a poor example of a leader. He continues to blame other people for his actions.

Shame on the Town Board members for not standing up to Mr. Auberger and demanding his resignation. Since each one of you are up for re-election this year, it will make for a very interesting one once this so-called White Water Auberger investigation is completed."

Received in my email:

SCATS: A letter to the editor in this week's Greece Post written by a female registered Democrat is the very height of hypocracy on her part. During the last Town election she was an active worker for Maloney and the Democrat's Third Ward Candidate. Now she claims to support Conlon (who, by the way, did not expect to win, nor should he have) as a person who is not afraid to challenge Auberger. Really? In what millenium? Give me a break! Andy is a great guy, but way over his head on the Town Board. He takes his cues and orders from Auberger as do the rest of his board colleagues.

This same female registered Democrat wrote a letter to the editor of the Greece Post last March in which she stated, "Shame on the Town board Members for not standing up to Mr. Auberger and demanding his resignation. Since each one of you are up for re-election this year, it will make for a very interesting one once this so-called White Water Auberger investigation is completed." What has changed her attitude in the past several months? Pass the Kool Aid please.

Sorry but this woman is a wing nut in my opinion. Listened to her drivel several times at school board meetings and other public venues over the years. She talks in circles.

Once again the Democrats have given us ZERO quality candidates for us to vote for. And I really don't want to pull any levers for any current town board members or our stupidvisor. Too bad we don't have a lever that says "none of the above."

I saw Becky hangin out with Conolon at the event for Krabbe's disease at the Exempts She appeaars to be playing up to whatever side will give her the most benefits. Perhaps she felt jilted by the dems or the police chief

Why whack that hornet's nest again SCATS?

Looking for an out?

SCATS said...

To 11:55PM ~~ I don't understand your comments. Who is the hornet? An out from what?

"Sorry but this woman is a wing nut in my opinion."

Left wing? Right wing? Or R wing?

Re-elect Andy Conlon? Give me a break! Show me just one example of anything he has done for us. His opponent Rita Garrettson came to my door to introduce herself. She is smart, tough and loaded with good experience. I will vote for her and I hope you vote for her too. Or, you could trust Andy to secretly be on your side while he is not rocking the boat.

Of course, an endorsement from this particular person is no honor! Overzealous, misinformed and socially inept supporters can and do turn off undecideds all the time.

One must wonder if the sour relationship with Mr G prompted support of Mrs G's opponnent?

SCATS said...

To 7:11 ~~ Sour relationship? What topic turned it sour?

"And I really don't want to pull any levers for any current town board members or our stupidvisor. Too bad we don't have a lever that says "none of the above.""

@7:58 PM
There are always write-in ballots. I've voted for "none of the above" many times before by using them and I'm sure I will again in the not-too-distant future.

Anonymous said...

I will be voting for the people who are willing to stand up for what they believe in and not afraid of being the single person who feels that way.
I don't feel that a political party has anything to do with who I will be voting for anymore. I have attended some Town "Hush" Meetings where sign language from our Supervisor has been the only thing I could really understand.

With that being said, I will not be voting for any one who is presently on the board now.

I for one will be voting for who I think will stand up for what is best and what they believe in.

I will not be voting for a certain political party this time. I have attended some of the Town Board Meetings and a little tired of not hearing anything other than the rehearsed comments or lack of comments that goes on there.

With that being said, I will not be voting for anyone presently on the Town Board right now.

7:11 is referring to a purported personal relationship between RJ and Dave Garretson that might have turned sour. That would have turned RJ sour on the democratic candidate who is Rita Garretson and on the democrats. Women scorned hell hath etc.

As to the truth of these rumours I really don't know

SCATS said...

To 10:28PM ~~ As an outsider, that doesn't even sound plausible to me.

I notice you use the British spellings just like RJ does, interesting ;)

I wonder if her husband knows that Auggie has been doing some campaigning at his house when he is at work?

No matter what your party affiliation is, you can not honestly say Aubergerg has done a good job. He has left our town in ruins that will take decades to rebuild. He has shown he has no ethics one scandal at a time, it makes me think about all the stuff he did not get caught for. As far as the town board they may be decent people but the fact is they stood by their man one scandal after another. In addition they allowed and were part of all patronage jobs in our town government, they hired political buddies not qualified people. They all need to go, if this was a company they would have been fired a long time a go.

I remember some complaints here recently that the Democrats were disorganized and slow because they didn't introduce their candidates until August. Well here it is halfway through September and where are the Republicans? No announcements yet. Is Andy Conlon even running this year? I heard Bilsky is not running, but who is? Helllooooo Republicans, do you care even a little bit about us the voters? I went to the Greece Republican website to see "Meet the 2009 Candidates." You can stop picking on the Democrats for being disorganized any time now.

Anonymous said...

This is Greece, after all. The Republicans can wait until the last date to print the ballots and then announce candidates. They'll sleep well knowing their candidates (whoever they are) will get elected.

8:53 and 9:06 are clearly the same person posting multiple times. Pretty sad SCATS when you and your "pro-Democrat regardless of their ineptitude" team mates have to resort to these types of shady shenanigans.

SCATS said...

To 8:50PM ~~ What "shady shenanigans"? No rule has been broken that I'm aware of.

By the way, that word "shenanigans" was a favorite of the Dem who flip-flopped and now supports the guy she accused of shenanigans previously ;)

Anonymous said...

@ 8:50 -- Shady shenanigans? Oh please. I noticed that double post too, but it didn't occur to me that it was part of some grand Democrats scheme to flood SCATS with bogus comments. I bet the double poster thought that their comment hadn't posted because he/she didn't see it right away, and gave it a second try. SCATS you probably should have deleted one of them

SCATS said...

To 8:20AM ~~ Duplicate postings do get deleted. I wasn't entirely certain that this one was though it appeared likely. Besides, I wanted to give 8:50PM something to complain about ;)

8:50pm

Boy are you quick!! Yes it was from the same person, ME! Scats has nothing to do with it either. It is called a unreliable PC that acts up now and then and sometimes it just shuts down before I can see if something that I was doing was finalized or not.
Can't afford a new one so I deal with it and hopefully it will not happen again because if it does, you may see that I double posted again.

Some of you are really ignorant with your thoughts.

Just call me the double banger lady!

No let's not rush to judgement all you people who want to attack this Democrat woman for supporting a Republican because she feels he's doing a good job.

Maybe we'll see a positive article supporting the Democrat person running for this position from someone who is a Republican.

Will you attack that person too for supporting someone from the other party they agree with? Or are you opposed to people getting behind someone they like regardless of political party affiliation.

SCATS said...

To 10:49AM ~~ This is NOT really about a Dem supporting a Rep. It's about an immature kneejerk reaction by someone who slammed this candidate & his brethren on Greece Town Board just a few months ago. One must ask "Why the VERY sudden change of heart?" The answer I'm told by several different folks is that she is PO'd because the Dems wouldn't support her to run ;)

Anonymous said...

"immature kneejerk reaction by someone"

Facts to back this up please. And please no "some nameless, faceless person ran it through the grapevine."

Facts, facts, facts.

Thank you.
