Greece Town Board Denies B&S Application

Tonight the Greece Town Board voted to DENY Bryant & Stratton's application to build on Long Pond Rd. They suggested it would be better suited to a location on Ridge Rd.

SCATS ~~ I guess the powers that be wanted to try to get re-elected after all ;)

there were some sparks at this meeting This item appeared at the last minute and was moved to the front of the meeting to get it out of the way quickly does this sound familiar; Meeting was briefly adjouned in horror when Auberger was quite willing to answer friendly questions but would not let board members answer questions abour a vote of confidence

To 10:59PM ~~ Adjourned? Why??? Who asked about a vote of confidence??

Good for them

1. Decision on Bryant & Stratton put on agenda at last minute. IT was not on the preliminary agenda,
2. Item was moved up on agenda even before public comment section probably to avoid public comment
3. Decision was against Bryant and Stratton
4. Dave Garretson criticizes Board for cowardice on the way the announced the decision. HE also called for a vote of confidence on Auberger and asked why board members won't comment on AUberger.
5. When a resident who came late address the forum and asked what was happening next he received a response by Auberger and By Gary T.
6. Garretson returned to the podium and asked why this resident received a response while other with whom Auberger disagrees only get silence. He asked for response on his questions. He was ruled out of order and the meeting temporarily adjourned to shut him up.
Does that clarify things

Oh the dramatic scenes of the Greece Democrats.

This is exactly why the Greece Dems can never get anywhere in the Town because of these hilarious antics. And I am a democrat.

They might as well give B&S the old Britton Rd. Wegmans store. Its only going to sit there like the plaza did for years anyway.

To 9:51AM ~~ Yes, that certainly does clarify things, thank you. Looks like Auggie is really losing his grip.

Dangit all to heck!

Here BeckieSue and I went and spent our savings on a hotdog cart figuring to make some get by money off all the construction guys building that school and the students, and now the place ain't getting put up.

We're going to have to get by on just my paycheck from financial planning here at Hilton Central. Poor Beck is all heartbroke and crying her eyes out cause she already went to sewing up costumes for her and the kids to wear selling hotdogs. I'm pretty bummed out myself.

"Dave Garretson criticizes Board for cowardice on the way the announced the decision. HE also called for a vote of confidence on Auberger"

Why does Dave Garrettson want a confidence vote for Auberger? No one has confidence in him. Why does Garretson?

SCATS said...

To 1:03AM ~~ I think his point was that he wanted them to say they supported Auberger since they sit in silence & vote along with whatever he wants without questions or discussion.

Contrary to what you people think, the Board does not support Auggie. They have distanced themselves quite a bit. If you are observant you will see this. The only one supporting him is the one that can't run again because his time is up.

And the Greece Dems need to get a new leader, because they can't win in the town with Garretson and his wife on the ticket. Rita has actually turned a bunch of people off with her very own negative behavior.

To 8:31AM ~~ SERIOUSLY!? Please detail the evidence that ANY of your statements are true! As a frequent observer of Town Board meetings, the 4 board members have ALWAYS voted in full support of Auberger! Not once has one raised a single question to oppose ANYTHING on their agenda! Not once has any of them voiced a public opinion contrary to his actions to shutdown resident inquiries! Not once has any of them shown they possess a backbone!

And as far as the Garretsons are concerned:

1 - DAVE IS NOT on the ticket!

2 - What proof do you have that Rita can't win???

3 - WHAT "negative behaviors" are you talking about??

WARNING ~ THESE SORTS OF SNIPER COMMENTS INTENDED TO CAUSE QUESTION ABOUT A CANDIDATE WHERE NONE EXISTS WILL NO LONGER BE PUBLISHED UNLESS THE AUTHOR PROVIDES EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT THEIR CONTENTIONS!

Don't even TRY to back-talk on this issue either ;)

The problem is, as Dave notes, the fact that even if the board members have issues with Auberger they do not articulate them in public or make any public statements indicating they want him to leave. There is no good reason he should stay on the end except for political expediency. IF the board members are as Dave asserts, fearful of the consequences of public criticism then they are not our representatives but servants of political patronage. We deserve better than that.

Bob Bilsky would be the candidate the person is referring to.

At various public events I too have noticed the distance that some well-known republicans have kept from Auberger. Those include Robach and Maggie Brooks. They are cordial but not at all chummy how they used to be.

Auggie's days are over and even Reilich realizes this. He still has what 2 more year son his term?

If Reilich drops the Hairburger will his kid keep the job at the Town?
OOPS, never mind, not supposed to mention the kid works at Town Hall. Not supposed to mention why he works at Town Hall instead of at Highway where he started either.

Dave Garretson - The man is a walking Y A W N! He did a magnificent job on the last campaign too. Yuppers, there's a definite leader for an OUT party trying to get in.

Anytime someone makes a good point at the Town Hall the republican flak catchers have to demean him/her. I would like to see some real issues discussed in the upcoming campaign not republican name calling of opponents. Decide who you think is best based on debate not rumor or name calling

SCATS said...

To 10:17AM ~~ I agree. You wouldn't believe the number of nasty comments received that I'm not posting. It really makes the Greece Republicans look bad.

I don't get it, why was Reilich's kid moved to Town Hall?
