To 4:55PM ~~ Good question. Please don't expect an answer. It's Greece ;)

Well, lets see; GPD solved the case and made an arrest in short time without the cooperation of the victim.
The shooting didn't happen at High Noon, so we can pretty much guess Matt Dillon wasn't involved.
The victim was found shot in the middle of the road.

Chances are pretty good the victim had a cellphone.

Perhaps the cops looked at the phone's history and ran a check on calls made to and from the phone.

Might even be a cop ran some of those last calls before the shooting against a database.

Might be there was some known drug history. Might be there was some girl history, not everybody is as covert as the Hairburger there.

Might be the GPD actually did some old fashioned police work, talked to somebody and found the suspect. That's how it used to be done.

Funny thing about people shooting and people catching bullets, very often they have a relationship. Very often drugs are part of that when the shooting occurs in the wee hours.

You can safely bet a dollar either drugs or a girl was the reason for the shooting. Police work ain't rocket proctology, which is a good thing given who works at GPD.

Rest comfortably, Sandy Baby Acting DA is on the job. You can sleep safely in your bed.

Way to go cops!

Motive is what should come out at trial. We have all seen what happens when cases are "tried in the press" and not in court.
Other than curiosity, does the motive matter to the general public?

SCATS said...

To 6:24AM ~~ Based upon past history of how Greece PD operates, MOTIVE IS EVERYTHING TO THE COMMUNITY! It has been their pattern to let us know that everyone is safe because only the "victim" was targeted. Without motive, no one can know that ;)

Sandy is working in the appeals division until after election day.

Get your facts people!!!

SCATS said...

To 9:44AM ~~ Are they keeping her at a safe distance so she doesn't do something to mess up for those seeking re-election????

Sandy has been STASHED in appeals for a while to keep her out of the public eye. Sandy has been provided with canned material to memorize for the campaign and hopefully no Republican with a vocabulary and IQ will run against Sandy baby.

Sandy will make a good one for one replacement for the Green Machine, ZERO ability from either one.
If they can't make the case in the media the case won't be made.

DA in Monroe County means DOLT attorney!

Bill Taylor will be the new DA. Sandy doesn't stand a chance. Joe Morrelle should start looking for a new job.

Scats: re-motive for the shooting- when the police dare to suggest that the crime is a one-of-a-kind, you shout "cover up" and complain that they are just lying to make everyone feel comfortable when it is plain to everyone that we are in the middle of a crime wave. Why would you believe any statement they make about motive on this shooting?

SCATS said...

To 9:28PM ~~ Lying?? Where did you get that? Show me please! Oh wait, you can't, because I have never said any such thing ;)

When the police use the same excuse to keep people from expressing concern over serious crimes that occur within Greece, time & time again, it makes me feel CONCERNED. That has next nothing to do with true "motive."

I have noticed that the police blotter in the Greece Post has been much longer in the past few weeks. More police reports are being reported in that pape

To 7:58AM ~~ Until this week where there were only TWO incidents ... neither of which were the two that made headlines ;)

In reality, there are HUNDREDS of incidents generating CRs each & every week in Greece. We hear about a very small percentage. When the Greece Post printed nearly half a page of them a couple of weeks ago, I thought maybe they were going to give us a more realistic sense of what happens here. It was a very short-lived effort.

CR, scats? In my experience, only people with intimate knowledge of a profession speak in the acronyms related to such. That or you watch a lot of Law and Order.

To 7:20AM ~~ Are you saying I know what I'm talking about? ;)

I know a little bit about a lot of things. I know an awful lot about several things. I've never been much of a Law & Order fan. If YOU know what a CR is, then maybe YOU & I know each other. Then again, maybe not :D

Did you see that horrible MVA on 104 the other day?
