I am listening to the BOE Meeting and the breakdown of the grades 3-8 state assessment tests.
I keep hearing about the investments in time and money that needs to be expended to help the low performers.
I have yet to hear how we are going to continue the development of children who excel.
If you look at the percentages of children who test above average, each year that percentage seems to decrease. Grade 3 has more high performers than grade 4 and so on.
Maybe we should spend some time rewarding and developing excellence.

To 7:32PM ~~ What a novel idea!! You are decades ahead of GCSD administrators in your thinking ;)

In all seriousness, the students who perform at the top get NOTHING for their efforts. It's been that way for years. Very sad!!

What I heard was a whole bunch of excuss making over and over and how administation is going to have meetings with lots of other administration yet no one is accountable.

To 9:20PM ~~ Babs is settling in just as the other DO staffers expect. Despite all sorts of interventions, the kids aren't/can't learn. Maybe it's time to check the water supply.
