Scary font scats. It wasn't me.
Those republicats sure are afraid of competition. Not cool cats like us. Purrrr....

Donn Rice is NOT running. So there is no body for that seat. Wonder who they will throw in for that one? SCATS are you available? We know how much you love politics! Let's thrown some names out there for Mr. Garretson. Frank Sterling...oh he is a bit preoccupied right now.

WHO are these people? More Union members from GTA?

Do any of them actually own property? Or are they another group of renters?

Laissez les bons temps rouler!

Anonymous said...

Well I might be a republican but I plan on voting for anyone who can freaken open their mouths and will stand up against that chump, (Auberger).

SCATS said...

To 1:44PM ~~ Yes, I'm available, but I'm not interested, thank you.

To 2:56PM ~~ I thought the good times were already here, no??

I thought the Dems were going to have that Juror running for office, the one that has been written about so many times on this blog. Where is his name?

Anonymous said...

I don't care if they own or rent, I don't care what party they are from, I don't even care if they will dress appropriately at board meetings, I do care if they plan on making that joke of a Town Supervisor accountable though. Anyone who runs against the blind, deaf and mute board memebers presently in seats has my vote.

Anonymous said...

That juror is a REPUBLICAN.

Anonymous said...

It be nice to see the pretty all Republican Board Members loose their seats to Democrats. I think it is a given that some of them are going to be voted out. Will be interesting if we get some voices for the people of Greece up there vs. the Lame Ducks we have now.

SCATS said...

To 4:05PM ~~ That is correct. Good catch ;)

He is Republican and sick & tired of Auggie's messes, as are many others.

Anonymous said...

The Greece Democratic Candidates are the lame ducks. They just want bodies to run. It's so comical every year. Will things ever change? And I'm and Independent.

Anonymous said...

4:05;
He maybe a Republican but would love to see him sitting next to Auggie with that intiminating look he has.

Anonymous said...

Were not going to start up with that Juror running for office again are we?

As much as I like to see someone with character run against these clowns, he has made it pretty clear that he doesn't seek any public office now or ever. He just doesn't like the present politicians in our Town right now,(namely Mr. Auberger).

By the way, what is his name again?

Anonymous said...

I would vote for anyone at this point the town board needs a complete flush. The problem is unless the democrats find a quality candidate and support them finically it will be Helfer/Auberger again. Which will keep things the way they are if not worse since Helfer is on team Auberger. At the very least we need some people on town board that will tell the truth and stand up to Helfer/Auberger.

To borrow a phrase from another poster these posting are shallow.

Issues please

SCATS said...

To 6:12PM ~~ One "issue" is that many are tired of the closed, clubby & corrupt governing style of Herr Auggie & his band of go-alongs on Town Board. There is NO DISCUSSION of anything at Town Board meetings. There is NEVER ANY NO VOTE CAST by a Town Board member. Meetings are over before you've had a chance to warm up your seat. Agendas are printed with the script included, even if someone hasn't been given their oath of office yet, we know in advance what topics they will move or second the motion on. The Chinese run a more open govt than the Greece Town Board.

If Mr. Male ran, I would of voted for him. Not for his background of politics. I would do it for the fact that he will not get bullied by anyone and will say what he thinks is right or what is wrong. This is called Character!
I would vote for anyone who shows character and not afraid of who's toes he or she would be stepping on when voting or speaking up on a topic.
I will be voting for the no-names and hoping that we will get our Town a little more even when it comes to making decisions.

Okay, here is my issue with the Town Board. Auberger is in complete control and the Board looks to him for what and when they can say anything. I think the stooge uses different techniques in pushing up his glasses to tell the board what to do.

The Republican Board is nothing more than spineless xxxxx who would never dare to cross Auberger.

The Democrats are hurting but like the few comments mentioned, I rather see a Democrat sitting in that chair to at least make things fair. I believe one person running is Dave Garretson's wife,(Rita). I think she would at least speak up if given the opportunity.

I am a Republican and I will not be voting for anyone in my party until my party gets enough sense to oust Auberger. 7/26/2011 7:30 PM

To 7:35PM ~~ Let's leave his name out of this since the deadline to run has come & gone and his name is NOT going to be on the ballot. Mr. Male is a citizen who served the community as a juror in an important trial. Let's let him and his family have their lives back as a normal, if anonymous, family.

To 7:35:
I agree with you completely. I too would of voted for the man who was dubbed "Juror 9". I was in the courtroom that day when he and Parinello had that stare down with each other. He was not a bit intiminated by Mr. Parinello and truly believe that he would not have been with Mr. Auberger if he ran for Town Board, no matter what party.

To bad the Democrats did not get him to run for them, I think more like that man would eventually take notice and be more involved.
I agree with you Scats, he obviously has his reasons not to run for a political office and he should be left out of it now but maybe more men and woman will share his conviction to honesty and will take notice and come forward for future elections.
I am a independant and will also be voting for the people who can look me in the eye and say what is on their mind.

Helfer is not even on the Town Board. I love all the people who talk out of their behinds. At least show some intelligence.

What is needed is an equal balance in the Town of Greece.

The DEMS should do a much better job of seeking candidates instead of bodies. Am I the only one who finds it odd that Dave Garretson could only find his wife to run? Come on. That borders on ridiculous.

And what would have been Don Rice's focus--How Walmart should not have happened?

Anonymous said...

Donn Rice is the Democrats' best candidate this year. He has created a lot of media publicity for himself by opposing the Walmart project. He's a top person in the North Gate Neighborhood organization and has been involved in a number of political campaigns on the campaign worker side.

I know the Democrats as a group aren't working very hard right now and so far haven't done much at the town board meetings but let's hope they finally get involved soon.

More good news is the Rita Garrettson is running and since her husband Dave is the party leader, she'll get a lot of funding support from the Democrat Party. Dave will most likely need her to win in order to keep his title in the party.

I agree with other posters here. Let's start hearing about the issues. I already know that Auberger is a bad Supervisor, etc. etc. etc.

What do the Democratic candidates actually stand for that ISN'T just saying the Republicans are bad.

ISSUES, ISSUES, ISSUES please!

Let's get this party started!!!

SCATS said...

To 8:36AM ~~ If you want to show some intelligence, then maybe YOU might want to start by spelling Donn Rice's name correctly ;)

Regarding Helfer ~ Does the name really matter? What difference is there between Helfer, Bilsky, O'Keefe, Morris, McCann or anyone else who "serves" with Auberger in whatever capacity?

I do agree we need some semblance of a balance of power in Greece Town Govt.

To 9AM ~~ As far as issues go, the fact that there is NO DIFFERENCE between Auberger and anyone who serves with him is A HUGE ISSUE ;) Any Dem. who runs and talks will be different.

Walmart is going to be an issue in Greece for a long, long time so Donn Rice is a viable candidate if only for that. He seems to be very interested and he has as much right to be representing us as the bobbleheads. Walmart will change dewey forever into something very busy and city-like and not in a good way. Not busy urbanites picking up fresh produce but harried city-rimmers coping and making ends meet. It will never go back. It will not be like the one out on the west side near Brockport. It will be more like the character of the one in East Irondequoit. And we know how that one is going. An "I told you so" on the town board would be very satisfying. After all the rest of us never get to be listened to by the town board. They will be forced to listen if the critic is on the board. Wouldn't it be funny if the whole board was democrat and the supervisor had to deal with that?

Anonymous said...

The problem will be the Democratic platform will be "blame blame blame. They will not talk issues or what needs to be done.

And Donn Rice is NOT running so that seat is unopposed as of now.
And Donn Rice is not a Board Member of Northgate Neighbors. The Anti walmart group is totally different than Northgate Neighbors. Why is this so difficult for people to comprehend??

Let's not forget that Auberger is not going anywhere. So we need to elect reps that will work with him at least until his term is up.

I'm so sick of hearing how bad everything is, let's have people offer some suggestions and solutions instead of constant WHINING.

It used to be this way in 1950..so what. It is 2011 now. Let's focus on the positive SCATS.

SCATS said...

To 10:42AM ~~ I think "the positive" is that there are candidates opposing the current regime! You just blasted them for stepping up to the plate!!

Anonymous said...

10:42 even if people disagree with another person they can still work with that person. Although our congress would seem to not be a good example. At the local level democrats and republicans are difficult to identify...especially in Greece. There are the "ins" and the "outs" in our local arena. We just need some new people. This is a lackluster group in power now. We have either notorious representatives and officials with paramours and substance abuse and cover-ups or reps who never say anything or ask questions.

Anonymous said...

So the platform for the democrat party is Walmart?
That is the issue for change?
I asked the question earlier about what the issues are and so far we are told board members don't ask enough questions, questions about what?

Anonymous said...

To 7:35 and 11:17:
Hey Chuck, aka Juror #9, if you are going to pretend to be someone other than you, you should learn that the full forms of "could've" and "should've" are "could have" and "should have", not "could of" and "should of". You use those terms in almost every single one of your posts.

SCATS said...

To 3:51PM ~~ You really need to get a new hobby. I know many folks who write the way they talk. That is a very common way for people to express themselves. I don't believe the same person wrote both of those entries anyway. Your attempt to "out" someone is beyond pathetic ;)

Anonymous said...

Helfer is a done deal Auggie will leave before his term is up and Helfer will be put in so he can run as an incumbent The Democrats will loose again because of poor planning. Does anyone really have to waste time posting issues regarding town hall. We are the laughing stock of the county, here are few in case we forgot: Town Assessor, Rahn, Pignato, Joseph, Chatterton, Wal-Mart, and the latest Auggie having an affair with a murder victim. That is just off the top of my head

SCATS said...

To 8:51PM ~~ I heard that about Helfer last spring. My understanding at that time was that Maggie wanted Auggie out before she ran for re-election. Apparently she doesn't see him as collateral damage these days. I'm sure you are correct that the Republicans will plant someone else in there and have Auggie leave to tie up a victory before the next election. Very sad!!

Anonymous said...

The Republicans have indeed distanced themselves from our fearless leader. Watch more closely and you will see this. Been to any community events lately? The only one walking with Auberger in a recent parade was the Town Council Person who's time is up.

Anonymous said...

3:51p:

Juror 9 should of, (I mean should've run) for a political seat. He was one of twelve who consistanly spoke up against what he believed in. Would I have voted for him? Not sure but I liked the idea that he seemed to be sick and tired of Auberger's way of running our town like the Ringling Brothers Circus but that doesn't make him a good choice as a politician, does it.
Maybe just good common sense is the reason why he did not throw his name in the hat with the other no-name politicians who have.
How many times did you or any of the present board members do the same?
People like u are pathetic in what you spend your time in thinking up.
You might be thinking right now, that he is writing this right now. Only got one word for that thought;
NOT!
