Hello Greece Democrat Party; Who the hell are these people you're running for office?

We know 1 is your Grate Leader's wife, but who are the rest?

Background information might be nice.

Just because they ain't Republicans won't carry you far!

SCATS said...

To 1:38AM ~~ They are the same kind of "NOBODY YOU EVER HEARD OF" types that the Republicans run;)

Who the heck is Brett Granville? Maybe he's some flunky go-fer type guy who works adjusting window shades at Town Hall during AARP meetings the way that Andy Conlon used to do.

Anonymous said...

Who is Wendy Wright? Who is Norma Cummings? Members of RAW???? or NGN?

Anonymous said...

Brett Granville works for the DA's office. Very sharp guy.

for the local Monroe ranters if you are unknown you are bad if you are known then you are worse. its is logic trap. The only way to win is not to play the game. Please go back to your own sandbox and rant.

SCATS said...

To 12:17PM ~~ Well said. Did you know that they cleaned the poop up out of their sandbox earier this year? All of their past nastiness was deleted. I think Maggie had to do something before running for re-election. I bet they will be back at it as soon as the elections are over though ;)

SCATS said...

To 10:18AM ~~ Does that make him the same kind of stooge as Ms. O'Keefe then? She comes from the same place. Her resume included prosecuting and losing a case against a Greece citizen who whispered during a school board meeting!

Anonymous said...

Brett Granville is on the board of the airport. Just what we need more cigars and strippers.

Anonymous said...

Didn't William King lose by abut 60% when he ran for Judge 2 years ago?

Anonymous said...

Wendy Wright, the former channel 10 reporter?

SCATS said...

BLOG Administration is receiving a lot of comments that won't be published. Focus on the issues, what people have done (or not done), where they've previously served, etc.

So is Shannon running against no one?
My vote is not going to be about what party that he or she belongs too, it will be based on if they got some back bone and able to look people eye to eye and say what is on their mind.

I love to see Mr. Auberger leave early, I am so tired of hearing about all his short comings and there are many!

Except for the incumbents, it looks like ALL of these people are unknowns. Being a dem or a rep doesn't matter if no one knows your name, does it?

ISSUE - CODE ENFORCEMENT

When is Greece going to do something with its growing number of vacant houses? The yards are overgrown. The exteriors are deteriorating. The wildlife are nesting.

Who enforces the myriad of codes on the books? Its frustrating because they sure are fast at collecting their building permit fees. But they don't give a hoot about enforcing code?

Anonymous said...

SCATS why aren't you running instead of Rita what's her name?

At least we know who you are and have some name recognition other than by marriage.

Link to this youtube for a little listen as to why scats doesn't have time for running for office.

He's got cat class and he's got cat style.

Thank you 7;35 Code Enforcement

Now we have an issue and a good one.

Anonymous said...

I don't understand. Why would Donn Rice go through the process of obtaining petitions to get on the ballot only to quit and not run. On the board of elections website another democratic candidate did the same thing and quit. It was for county Legislator in the 7th district.

Why are democrats running and then quitting before the races even start? Is the Greece Democratic party that messed up?

Anonymous said...

I agree that code enforcement is an issue. I also think that building permits are an issue. They've expanded the kinds of things you need to get one for. Seldom do they actually inspect the work though. There's lots of slipshod construction done in Greece despite the permit requirement. There's lots of people who don't bother getting the permits anyway. It's just another "fee" which really means tax.

Greece Democratic Party is indeed messed up. And I'm a Registered Democrat.

No thought process whatsover with regard to candidates put on the ballot. They simply put bodies on the ballot. Get's worse every year.

Anonymous said...

Now we have a second issue, building permits and inspections.

Let's talk about assessments. The Town of Greece has over-assessed most properties. The sheeple are too lazy or out of touch to realize it. Going back to Schwab's time things have been out of whack. I know that home sale prices are inflated by other items that cause the "sales price" to be unrealistic as a market value for the house. Let's fix this.

And why the heck is the assessor also the building inspector, code enforcer? Is there really so little to do he can hold three jobs?

Anonymous said...

Not to mention the tons of money the Town spends on Consultants. Why do we have so many employees and still have a need for consultants??

Anonymous said...

Now we have 5 issues
Code inforcement
Assessments
Cost of consultants
Building permits
Inspections

Addressing these type of issues makes alot more sence than personnel attacks.

The problem is no one with any self respect lives in Greece anymore to run for office.

SCATS said...

To 7:47PM ~~ You do have a point. They've been driven out by the closed, clubby & corrupted politicians and replaced by the "People of Walmart."

Speaking of closed, clubby & corrupt, the lack of an open govt is one of my issues with the town. The days of 10 min. Town Board meetings, agendas with who will move & second motions preprinted, the lack of discussion at those meetings are ALL ISSUES. I'm also not pleased with the way phones are answered or "customers" are serviced at the tax counter or clerk's office. The interest on their part should be in resolving your problem, not on getting your name, address & phone number before even hearing what your problem is. Same thing at DPW ;)

Scats at 8:21 If the meetings are as scripted as you say, the town board members could just stay home and skype the meetings. They wouldn't even have to dress below the head shot.

SCATS said...

To 9:45PM ~~ You're right, they could. But let's not give them any ideas, OK? ;)

"Code inforcement
Assessments
Cost of consultants
Building permits
Inspections"

Brilliant strategery! The Democrats definitely should spend all their time, energy, money and efforts crafting political messaging around these issues.

I would then have them push for using millions of our tax money to buy a great big fish tank, a giant sand-scooper for a couple of boaters and raises for all union employees!

Yes, the Democrats need to follow this plan to the letter. It's the key to success. It's been proven to work.

Neither party wants to address the real issues. The platform for the greece dems will be the same one they use every year. Part of their problem is leadership. As for jerry helfer running that would be as bad as auberger. Helfer did nothing on town board thus we have what we have in the third ward today. Where are the real candidates the real people who do care?

Anonymous said...

Nobody is rising to the top to replace Augie. Who's even out there to take over when he's gone?

Anonymous said...

I couldn't agree more with 1:59 pm.
Helfer did nothing on the town board.

He strikes me as a clone of Auberger.

Anonymous said...

Auberger never was on the town board. He went directly from the county legislature to supervisor of Greece. In Greece we get to be governed by the choice of the republican party committee. In the city of Rochester it is the same only with the democratic party committee. If anyone defies the republican party and runs a primary in Greece or the County, they will not get the financial support of the party if they are not the party bosses' choice. So they might as well not try to get the republican endorsement. Yes they could get the line on the ballot, but without the financial backing they will have to fund their own campaign. Maybe the democrats should try to get a republican to challenge the party bosses and do a primary for town board or supervisor. Then if that person won and did not have money from the party the democrats would have a chance.
I hope no republicans are reading this.

SCATS said...

To 9:38AM ~~ Sorry, but I know a few are ;)

Anonymous said...

I am sure Auggie's new girlfriend will be on the ballot or working at Town Hall.

Anonymous said...

Was Auberger a Republican or Democrat when he first was elected to Town Supervisor?

SCATS said...

To 4:41PM ~~ I'm pretty sure he already flipped to Republican before he ran.
